How do you see these guys playing out over the next 1 year? Next 4 years?

Toss up for me. Unless you're in a very deep league, I wouldn't be expecting much from either. I guess I'd take my chances with Brown and hope he gets a chance in Arizona after Fitz is gone.

Two cuts on most teams... I would avoid both or have them sit on your bench.

Butler was going to be an interesting option this offseason....never expected him to become a WR2 if he signed elsewhere, was optimistic when he resigned with Dallas but that was shot when they resigned Terrance Williams as well.

-Butler is situational and maybe gains value if Dez, Williams or Beasley get injured (Snap Count from 2016: 416, ~100 snaps less than Beasley)

-Arizona's WR corps is wide open at this point, a lot of speculation that they could invest in a WR starting in Round 1. If they don't, maybe that swings the pendulum into Brown's favor for now.

To echo what the guy above me said, not worth a roster spot now unless you have a deep bench.

I like Brown if he is free. There is a big opportunity in AZ with Floyd out. They will probably draft someone day 1 or 2 this year, but there are 2 WR spots up for grabs long-term in AZ (assuming John Brown and JJ Nelson are fighting for the same role).
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Brown for me here. I have him on my Taxi Squad simply because there's nothing else at WR on waivers that offers the same type of opportunity.

As someone who held B. Butler for over a year and hoped for something real, I don't think it'll happen for him in a fantasy sense. He got every snap detail last season for a long stretch, when Dez was hurt, and consistently did nothing (similar to Dorsett)

Before JJ Nelson had a couple good games and became the guy that people wanted on that team, Jaron Brown was the one who was getting all the snaps. He's a guy that can line up anywhere and isn't just a speed guy. I liked what I saw from him last year and see him having a good chance at having a solid role in that offense once Fitz is gone.
