Kelvin Benjamin

Postby TheDogPound » Mon Feb 13, 2017 7:17 am

I have been thinking a lot about Kelvin Benjamin.

I am wondering what are the general thoughts regarding KB?

Is there potential for him to be a Wr1? Why or Why Not?

What is KB's ceiling?

upside may be limited due to the offense he is in. won't be a #1 to come close to catching 100 balls but with his size is always a red zone threat. personally, i'm a fan largely in part to his enormous TD potential but I don't think I see him being a top 10-15 WR in the league.

Hmm..This is good stuff. I am curious to see how this upcoming season will play out for Cam. I think he will rebound. I am just curious as to what the organization will add to the offense.

Him rebounding should equate to an uptick in production from others right?

I do agree that KB is a red zone threat and think the concern for his production in other areas is valid. I am just hopeful he can at least be a top 10-15 WR.

He's a buy low. I panic sold him for a random 1st and an early 3rd this year and I know I'm not the only one who listened to the noise haha.

Similar to Jordan Matthews, he's a guy that had such a good statistical start to his career, that his trajectory was basically elite or bust. And so now that he's leveled off (after only 2 freaking seasons) a bit, as a WR2, 3 at worst, people think he can never be an asset

Great perspective Lucky.

It'll be interesting to see how this season plays out. I have KB as a keeper of mine. I am hoping for the best, however I am willing and very open to dealing him as well. Lol

This upcoming season will definitely be defining moments for Matthews and KB.

I sold Dez for KB and the 1.05 pick. I don't expect KB to be a WR1 but I think he has a solid WR2 floor with a few WR1 weeks mixed in.

I made the trade because I really need RB help so I'm most likely taking McCaffrey/Mixon/Kamara at 1.05. Just have to let the draft do its thing and see where they fall.

Wow You gave up Dez for KB. That's interesting.

I have Dez on my team also and I am trying to deal him as well. However my asking price is a little higher for him.

Idk who else was involved in the trade but you think Dez and KB are close to equivalent?

I gave up Dez for KB and the 1.05. You missed that last part about the draft pick... I would never trade Dez for KB straight up. There's an obvious drop in talent from Dez to KB. Dez is a top 10 WR and KB is in the 15-25 range.

I think I'm the only one who thinks KB has 1200 yard, 10 td upside, so ignore my opinion.

I think he has 1000 yard, 8 TD upside. That's not a bad year but it isn't considered elite.

Lol..Hopeful.

Ironically, I think that he does have this production potential and I'd hope he'd have this success. However, Greg Olsen is Cam's top target. This makes me question this feat.

Considering all of this I don't think it's unattainable for KB.

Benjamin has always been an interesting fantasy player. He's never come close to being proclaimed a WR1 after a sensational rookie season. Obviously the ACL tear slowed his progress. Last season he put up ok--you could blame Cam, I know I do, it helps me sleep better at night--numbers, but I lost faith in starting him.

Yesterday I was a bit reluctant, but I felt he was a better option to start over some of my other FLEX players. It was nice to see have have success throughout the game and put up great PPR points without a TD.

So.. 3 solid games in a row. His season totals after 6 games:
26 Receptions
371 Yards
1 TD

Not bad, and you know he'll have atleast 5 TD by the end of the year. I would love to see him get over 1100 yards and 70 receptions. Any thoughts?
10 Team PPR, 25 man roster(1st and 2nd year player PS option for $20), QB, 2 RB, 3WR, TE, FLEX (RB,WR,TE), K, DEF.

RB-Gurley, M. Gordon, Jeff Wilson, Tevin Coleman,T. Montgomery, John Kelly, Justin Davis
WR-K. Allen, T. Hill, Josh Gordon, Golladay, Fitzgerald, S. Watkins, J. Reynolds, Enunwa,

He's a very good player, little doubt about that. He is also though, a WR3. Cam is super erratic and they don't take many chances.
