Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Ok, more of the depth of this class here. Either one of these two could slide to me at 1.17

I like Gallman's size and burst in this clip. At 6'0 205 he could be a Jamaal Charles-type of talent.

Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
There have been a number of character concerns about Kamara. I am more concerned about his size, as he doesn't look 215lbs (his list weight). Here's a clip. I'm going Gallman here by quite a bit.

Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Don't remember where I heard/read this but there was 1 NFL scout at the minimum that saw Kamara and Dalvin Cook to be the same mold as a player (can't say I can validate this myself); and that a team should draft Kamara in the 2nd or 3rd to have the same type of skill set as Cook with a lot less tread on the tires.
Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Just wanted to point out that it's very unlikely Kamara will fall to the 17th pick.
Never been impressed with Gallman all that much. Teams needed to play pass against Clemson, which left him some big holes to run through. Can't seem to get through the middle when holes are smaller.

Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
I don't really see what everyone sees in Kamara. Honestly he reminds me quite a bit of Bishop Sankey. Not elite quickness, but also has good agility in his feet. I just don't see the jitteriness I want to see in a player like Kamara. Yes he has good hands, he's fast, but if you look at a lot of his runs he rarely makes people miss by making open field cuts or with an aggressiveness at finishing the run. He just looks bland to me. He will probably test well at the combine, but I personally do not look at him as a player that I'm willing to take in the first round of rookie drafts.
As for Wayne Gallman I have a very different opinion. He's just a better pure runner. He has more power as a runner, routinely makes people miss in the open field, and solid vision overall. Probably not as good of a receiver than Kamara, but has solid hands out of the backfield. Overall just has the quickness, enough power, pass blocking skills, and all the skills to be a 3 down back. The biggest questions I have on him are whether he has enough speed to translate to the next level and how he will test at the combine.

My thoughts as well. I'm surprised the poll is so in favor of Kamaraalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2017 2:18 pm I don't really see what everyone sees in Kamara. Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Kumara tops our as a riddick or Simms in my opinion. He doesn't look like he can run between the tackles.
Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Give me Gallman. He can do it all. Add 5-10 lbs on him and you have a 3 down workhorse.

Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
x3, love me some Gallman and will be targeting him in Rd 2 of my rookie drafts. My only concern is his running style - while tons of fun to watch, that running style with that BMI for his height is pretty reckless!
I think it was Zierlien or DJ from NFL.com who used "bull in a china shop" for Gallman, and it's pretty spot on, i feel like.

Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
Finally! Gallman was getting no love early in this battle, but now he's closing the gap. I'll bet if Gillman goes a round ahead of Kamara in the draft, he passes him in dynasty mocks as well. They seem to be closer than the Kamara crowd would admit.

Re: Alvin Kamara v Wayne Gallman
I am not a big Gallman fan but I'm even less of a Kamara fan. I don't understand where any of this hype is coming from. I'd rather have a monster college producer here. Kamara IMO, has way too many red flags for the price tag he's being assigned. If Kamara is available outside the top 20 later in the process than maybe I change my opinion but as of today, Gallman is much cheaper, and IMO a superior value.

Kamara didn't look too fast yesterday.

If I'm going to take a chance on one of them its Kamara as Gallman just looks way to slow at the rb position.
