Maclin vs Lynch

Postby Balzac » Thu Sep 21, 2017 9:03 am

Another thread got me curious how the community values these two players.

In a vacuum who would you rather have on your team from this point forward?

I think this is situational. I think Lynch should be a solid RB2, and Maclin should be a solid WR3. I don't think either have major roles next year or after.

I'd put their values as roughly equal. So removing the "vacuum" would decide whether a trade like that made sense for the teams involved.

As an owner of both, they're about dead even. Lynch has a bit more value to me this season as he's my locked in RB2 behind Zeke, but Maclin should be a WR2/3 for another couple years no problem.

I need Lynch more as my RB3 than Maclin as my WR4. Maclin might score more points overall but Lynch is more valuable to me when I look at the drop from Lynch to the next tier RB versus the drop from Maclin at WR. Neither guy has much trade value so you're going to be stuck.

I have to agree with this. It depends on the team you have and the league your in. For me it's Lynch, because RB's in my league are a premium while WR's are a deep position.

For me its Maclin simply because I think Lynch might have a couple of good games but counting on him as a RB2 will be difficult. Lynch has looked old out of place in the OAK offense. Maclin should be a steady, serviceable WR3.
