Would you feel comfortable with just these 3 RBs in 2019?

Postby ajf235 » Mon Dec 10, 2018 3:44 pm

In a half-PPR four keeper league on a $200 budget, I have Nick Chubb, Derrius Guice and Aaron Jones in 2019 for $21 combined, as well as Kenny Golladay for $3.

Initially my plan was to try and draft Saquon for $75-85 for my flex and use the fourth RB as depth but now I’m thinking I’ll just keep these four and then draft Julio and Odell for what should be about $130 or so combined, giving me 3 WRs and 3 RBs for approximately $154 combined, with $46 left for TE, QB and further depth. Thinking some combo of Goff/Rivers and Hunter Henry would give me studs across the board.

Would you feel comfortable going into 2019 with only Chubb, Guice and Aaron Jones as your RBs or do you think that’s too risky?

I believe I'd feel okay but not great with those three RB in 2019, but I was wondering about the possibility of a combination of your options. Draft Barkley and Jones for $140-$150, and then if Guice seems like he has recovered and grabbed the lion's share of the touches in Washington, then either move Chubb, Guice, or Jones for assistance elsewhere, or ride the cheap talent and keep them again in 2020, when they may have taken another step forward and everyone would be absolutely comfortable. Just want to give you the chance to discuss all possible strategies... and hope you will reciprocate by viewing my own post. :)

I like having 3+ RBs for depth and feel great about Chubb but shaky about Guice (just in 2019 as it’s his first year back from recovery) and Jones (in general as he seems injury prone and doesn’t have a high pedigree). I’m thinking of going the Saquon/Julio (or Odell) route, but would you really feel comfortable with only Julio/Odell and Golladay as your only two marquee receivers? I kinda would prefer 3 good WRs and 3 good RBs to 2 WRs and 4 RBs and I’m thinking Jones is too much of a bargain at $6 to cut him (I’m not gonna cut Guice).
