Jake butt

Postby Mjvb5 » Fri May 05, 2017 2:15 pm

Kinda wondering how we feel about him in a cap league with limited length contracts.

In a normal league I see him going in the late 30s-late 40s in standard dynasty leagues with IDP

but I'm wondering how far he'd go in a league where rookies get 3 year contracts with a 4th year as an RFA (basically assigning a pick tender to them).

Mainly asking for my 32 teamers as I'm pretty high on him but I don't know if he'll make it to my 2nd rounder @52 and if he does should I risk trying to trade back and take him, given the league also has IDP which should push him down some more

I wouldn't want to touch him unless he's the last guy on a very deep bench.

Really depends how tied up you want your cap dollars. Butt has the injury thing and the TE development thing going against him. If he's cheap and you don't mind locking up cap space (and roster/contract space) to stash him on your roster I'd go for it... but I'd prefer to save that cap money and roster spot on someone who could provide more immediate production.
