Just joined my first 32 team single copy league. My question is that is it better to spend my auction cash and make sure i get a few studs or do i try to get depth if at all possible?

40 man rosters
bestball
contract(hardcap)

Starting lineups are
Offense (start 9)
QB:1
RB:1-3
WR:2-4
TE:1-3
PN:1
PK:1

IDP(start 9)
DT:1-2
DE:2-3
LB:2-4
CB:1-2
S:1-2

wow, 40 rostered? That's pretty limited in a league like that. You have to go studs n' duds in that format and pray for a healthy season. There's just no better approach.

I've been doing true 32 team leagues since 2014. That league is now going on it's 4th season. I joined 2 startups this past off-season bringing my total to 5.

I also run a 32 team, one player pool, re-auction league. 7 spots open, starts in 12 days. The starting lineup is very close to the league you're discussing. When is your auction? May I suggest a trial run in a best ball re-auction league?

Personally, I avoid stud n dud. Most owners seem to spend huge amounts on offensive side of the ball. I play contrarian and swallow up high value IDP & fill my DT, DE, LB, CB & S with almost all starters. I try to find low cost, high value fliers on offense.

The format is new & there's not a lot of data on consistent winning strategy. I'm about to have 5 leagues of data to study at the end of the '17 season.

I would support this thread becoming the channel for all topical conversation related to true 32 single copy, 1 player pool related.
