$220 CAP right now, 20 man rosters/10 bench players/2 additional IR spots, NO IDP, NON-PPR, 10 keepers reducing to 5 by year 4, salary contracts which go up if player kept for any of years 3-5.
My question is how many rounds is most useful in a Rookie Snake Draft. I thought that keeping it an even number makes sense since the order is flipped each round. So was thinking 4. But is that way too much? Would 2 make the most sense in all ways? Final regular season records decide yearly snake draft order.
I have came up with the following salary for rookies chosen through 4 rounds. But it is easy to reduce or change.
Rookie Draft Salary Schedule for a 4 Round Draft.
1.1 $30
1.2 $27
1.3 $24
1.4 $21
1.5 $18
1.6 $16
1.7 $14
1.8 $12
1.9 $10
1.10 $8
2.1-2.5 $7
2.6-2.10 $6
3.1-3.5 $5
3.6-3.10 $4
4.1-4.5 $3
4.6-4.10 $2

Re: 10 Team League with Rookie snake draft ....
In my league our rookies are on our taxi squad until we sign them to be on our active roster. If we don't sign them by week 16 they are automatically entered into the free agent pool for next year's auction. If your rookies are automatically added to your roster I think 2 rounds is enough. My reasoning - with a 20 man roster if 4 of those are rookies, most are going to be roster clogs. It is hard to find 40 rookies that will produce soon enough for owners before they decide to cut them so they can pick up a producing free agent.
