Franchise, Transition, Unrestricted, and Restriction

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble understanding what is Franchise Tags, Transition Tags, Restriction Free Agent and Un-restriction Free Agent. I think I am all confusing by this. The reason I am asking you this because I am planning in the future doing Salary Cap/Contract Dynasty League. I hope I have better understanding by then before I can start creating the Salary Cap/Contract Dynasty League.

You'll have to do some reading up on a Web search for the terms. Watch for older pages explaining them because the rules are ever changing in the NFL. Once you get pretty grounded in their real-life use (its an imperfect understanding) you'll need to read your league rules again and ask a couple questions. Ultimately, a couple emails to the commish should give you an idea of his design.
