Eddie lacy question

Postby buck6380 » Sat Apr 16, 2016 2:35 pm

I have lacy for my team in sig below as a restricted free agent.
I have had some owners in my league saying they are gonna run his price up on our restricted draft.
All I can receive for comp is a 3rd rounder if I let him walk.

I think I should trade him and have a very interested owner

What would you think of this trade

Eddie $15/1 restricted
1.9

For
1.3
DGB- $8-taxi squad
Charles sims $3/1

Any ideas, as I am afraid to have to pay lacy to keep him escpecially after last year.

In my league we have a rule that you can extend players contracts for $5 for every year you add
So DGB I can sign for 3 since he was on a taxi squad- and no raise

Sims I can extend for $5/1 year

Other owner can extend pact as well.

Kinda helps players keep some value, and encourages trading.

Without knowing more about starting requirements, I would say yes make the trade easily. It might hurt this year as I expect a strong season from Lacy on a relatively cheap salary. There is a good chance GB lets Lacy walk after this year which would take away a lot of Lacy's value. You would receive one of my elite WR prospects in DGB, get to move into the 2nd tier of rookies this year, and get a usable bye week/injury RB. That is a good haul for Lacy.

I like it. I traded for Lacy this offseason and am expecting a bounce back year.

DGB has elite potential, 1.03 should be a valuable piece and Sims is a solid backup with upside if Martin goes down. Also I am not excited about the players going in the 1.09 range.
