When Ryan Tannehill got that new deal...

Postby TomBobAnderson » Wed May 20, 2015 9:29 pm

I almost jumped off the top of a building head first. I'm a huge Dolphins fan and I know he's the 2nd best QB in the division, but can we make him earn his deal first? I just want one playoff appearance, is that too much to ask? Make him earn his deal, if he walks as a free agent then let him walk, don't overpay for mediocrity. I don't get it, at all. Anyway, fellow Dolphins fans, what say ye?

I just traded him last year after I couldn't figure out if he was better than Rivers or Eli for the next few years. I finally decided - like you said - he was mediocre. So away I shipped him.

NFL-wise, it's one of those second tier contracts the NFL is throwing at mediocre QBs left and right lately. He's still signicantly better than a bunch of garbage some teams are rolling out. So the way I see it, Miami was just securing their blonde Andy Dalton for a while rather than risk years of parading laughable Browns QBs on the field.

Thing is. At least Dalton makes the playoffs. I just want 1 playoff appearance, is that too much to ask?

Just turned 27 and only played QB for a few years before coming into the NFL.

Has shown improvement each season even with some shoddy weapons around him. Is he worth his contact? Probably not, but then what QB is?

This season should be a big tell on Tannehill, as he finally has multiple targets with Parker, Cameron, Stills, Landry, Jennings, and Miller in the backfield.

Probably a better fantasy QB than real life QB, but think Miami has a real shot at the Playoffs this season.

Problem is he can't ever blossom with an OL that gives him no time to throw the ball. Anytime he gets protection he slings it and you see flashes of how good he is. The jets were bringing pressure all day yesterday because the Fins would just go empty set and have no one stay to block. Get him a line and a run game so he isn't throwing the ball 50 times a game and youll see a top 10 qb
