I suspect that they will go defense - LB/DE Anthony Barr, CB Justin Gilbert, maybe a safety...
I know early on people were projecting a WR here, but I'm not sure I buy it, expecially with Watkins and likely Evans off the board.
Any player in particular you think will land here? I'm kind of fuzzy on the fer sure.

Countdown to the NFL Draft: 1.10 Lions
Re: Countdown to the NFL Draft: 1.10 Lions
Detroit seems hellbent on gettin Sammy. I wish them luck because it would be so damn fun to watch! And it would mean less double and triple teams as a Megatron owner. If they can't facilitate a trade I think CB is the likely pick but it's anybody's guess who the top guy is. I've tentatively got Kyle Fuller here. Have a gut feeling Gilbert falls further than people expect.
Re: Countdown to the NFL Draft: 1.10 Lions
Another team that has been rumored to jump up for a WR. However if they are unable to make a move I see them staying put and taking a defensive player. They have needs in the secondary and I think they will be able to choose the top CB on their board. My selection would be Darqueze Dennard.

Re: Countdown to the NFL Draft: 1.10 Lions
Don't mean to beat a dead horse but they have long been rumored to be move up candidates for Sammy Watkins.
I think they should stand pat at 10 and take BPA/Need. They can roll with Megatron/Golden Tate and let Fauria be another redzone option with Bush/Joique Bell.
I think with Alshon/Bmarsh and Cobb/Jordy, and even Cordarrelle/GJennings the Lions need to improve their awful secondary.
I'm going to give them a tall big corner that can go up and make plays against taller bigger receivers.
CB Justin Gilbert Oklahoma State is my pick for the Lions. Scouts love him as having the highest ceiling of all the corners in the class.

Re: Countdown to the NFL Draft: 1.10 Lions
I see and agree with all of your comments on what the best move for the Lions should be. I hope and pray that they stay put and just take a instant starter like Denard. However, being from Detroit, ignoring the "best move" is something that would not surprise me coming from the Lions.
