Mathews hurt

Postby MilwaukeesBest » Thu Aug 09, 2012 6:01 pm

One carry for 5 yards and he goes out with a shoulder injury, done for the game. Hopefully it's a precaution, just traded for the guy 5 hours ago. Is this guy ever going to shake the bumps and bruises?
Team 1: 10 Team, 4 Keeper League, Non-PPR
QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt

Broken Collar Bone - Out 4-6 weeks, then take it a little easier & perhaps a lessened work load than planned.

Collarbone is a difficult bone to heal. I'm not an expert, but I have broken my left collarbone... twice.

First time was a real break. I don't know the technical term, it never broke the skin, but it was snapped, like in two pieces.

That one took a full 2 months to heal (my entire grade 2-3 summer as I remember it) and it didn't heal exactly right. (it still sticks out a little more than the right one)

I'd guess that if you put some titanium pins in it, it might heal straight, but all I got was a sling and a wrap to keep my shoulder blades back.

Second time I broke it by simply falling on my back on an ice rink. This was only a small fracture and was nearly completely healed after maybe 5 weeks (and I'm not exactly an athlete)

The point? If it's only a little cracked? (which I think is the case) it will probably heal perfectly and be even stronger in the future. if it was totally broken? I would definitely worry about it becoming a recurring problem, but don't expect anyone to tell you the truth about the extent of the injury before your draft...
