Titans, Playoff Contender?

Postby treble83 » Sat Jul 16, 2016 1:08 pm

Alright, so maybe I'm drinking the Koolaid but I'm excited about these 2016 TEN Titans! Well...offensively anyway. We may not have any BIG talent in WR's or TE position but by making the smart play and drafting an OT, the Titans are beefing up protection for Mariota. Add in D. Murray as a run threat and you'll keep the opposing DEF on their toes.. Possibly even enough to take some pressure off of the other receiving options. I've been using the line "This is a rebuilding year" for too long. I'm going to say it now, pre-pre-season, Titans are going to at least game 1 of the playoffs!

The Titans will be better but they are not there quite yet imo.

Jones and Conklin were great adds to the offensive line. I could realistically see them winning anywhere from 7 to 9 games if things break right and they stay relatively healthy. Need Mariota to continue to mature and develop. Playoffs a possibility.

No way. The D will keep them in games but I do not see them in the playoffs. Reminds me of the Niners a few years back. They need a couple big time plamakers

I think 7-9 will be overachieving for this Titans team, I'd expect 5-11 season tbh. Defenses are going to stack the box and having only Walker as a consistent target really hurts Mariota.

I think Vegas has their o/u win total at 5.5 still. I think that helps tell you the general consensus out there on this season. After going 3-13, I would agree 7-9 this season would be a reach.
