The New York Daily News confirms ESPN's report that Thomas Jones will be released in the "coming days."
The workout warrior has kept himself in impeccable shape while racking up 2,714 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns the past two seasons, but age and workload appeared to be catching up with him in the playoffs. As PFT's Gregg Rosenthal points out, "He had a great run in New York, but they're timing the release perfectly."
Greene owners should be doing back flips right about now. Who's he gonna be splitting reps with? Danny Amendola?! Leon could be in the mix, but Greene is looking like Green cash money.
