Vikes practice without Harvin again, but Edwards, K.Williams return

NFL.com Wire Reports

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver/kick returner Percy Harvin is listed as questionable for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints after he missed his second consecutive practice because of migraine headaches.

Harvin has dealt with migraines for most of his life, and the problem cost him one game this season.
NFC Championship Game

"It's less than ideal, but he's played under the same circumstances this year," Vikings coach Brad Childress said Friday.

Childress also addressed concerns about whether or not Harvin could fly with the team to New Orleans.

"I don't think we're going to use the Madden Cruiser or anything to take him down. ... But it can be a factor with those type of headaches," Childress said. "If my recollection serves, I think he got on a plane with us somewhere, Carolina maybe, and it didn't have any really ill effects."

As for trying to gauge Harvin's status right now, Childress refused to offer a guess.

"It's hard for me to even handicap that," the coach said about Harvin, who was home Friday. "They all vary in difference in intensity and time period and that type of thing."

Better news for the Vikings was that starting defensive linemen Ray Edwards and Kevin Williams both returned to practice. They're also listed as questionable because of knee injuries.

Defensive tackle Pat Williams (elbow/foot) and cornerback Benny Sapp (ankle/back) are questionable, too.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

News
Report: Harvin travels to New Orleans with Vikings

Posted: January 23rd, 2010 | NFL.com Staff | Tags: Bryant McKinnie, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, NFC Championship Game, Percy Harvin

Vikings rookie WR Percy Harvin missed two days of practice because of migraine headaches, but he was expected to fly to New Orleans for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported, citing sources.

Vikings LT Bryant McKinnie used his Twitter page Saturday to post a short video interview with Harvin, who complained about his migraines but appeared to be in the locker room packing for the trip.

“Man, I’ve tried everything, and nothing works,” said Harvin, who’s listed as questionable to play against the Saints. “I give up.”

McKinnie later posted a video of some Vikings players on the team plane, but Harvin didn’t appear in it.

UPDATE: The Star Tribune later reported that Harvin was on the flight to New Orleans.

Saints 31
Vikings 28

to boot..Favre ties it late and New Orleans wins on FG as time expires or why not--OVERTIME.

ITS THE NFL!!

Why not throw in a Favre turnover in that 4th Qtr too that sets up a score for New Orleans. It could happen .

Is it obvious Im rooting for the Saints? Favre is legendary of course but Id like to see Brees get to the big show finally.

From Rotoworld-

Percy Harvin (migraines) was "feeling much better the past two days and will play," according to John Czarnecki of FOX.

As long as Harvin wakes up today feeling fine, all reports point to him giving it a go. But with the explosive rookie missing practice on Thursday and Friday, we can't be sure of his role. We'll get official confirmation of Harvin's status around 5:30 ET.
