What is Kendall Hunter worth in 2014 rookie picks?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I would think 2.12-2.6..... he has the upside, but with James and Gore still there and coming off a season ending ACL, I think his path to being an RB1 is a little murky.....

Might be splitting hairs here, but I think Hunter's injury was an achilles tear. Six of one, half-dozen of the other I suppose, but Leshoure bounced back okay from an achilles...

We'll see..
12 teams, 6pts all TDs, 1/2 pt PPR. 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D, 2 FLEX RB/WR/TE

QBs - P Mahomes,
RBs - Bijan, J Jacobs, K Walker, B Hall,
WRs - AJ Brown, J Waddle, DJ Moore, T Higgins, D London, Smith-Njigba, J Downs, AT Perry
TEs - D Kincaid, Musgrave
Ks - Boswell, McPherson
Ds - Texans, Jets

2024 - 3 1st rounders... Picks 1.5, 1.7, 1.11… 1 2nd 2.17… 1 3rd 3.31…

It's a tough call with the torn achilles, everyone points to Leshoure as being OK but he's a plodder now. Look at his before/after tape, not the same RB at all, and I'm worried as a Niner's fan that we'll see the same regression from Hunter.

I would say this. I'm a Leshoure owner, and with the rash of ACLs going on, there have been a lot of good articles detailing the medical nature of that injury. Many of them have discussed the Achilles as it compares to an ACL. The overall consensus is that an Achilles is going to take longer to fully recover then an ACL, IF a full recovery even happens. Some quickness/burst may never return. I bet on Leshoure. He was highly touted when drafted. He's in a high-powered offense. I think he did reasonably well last year considering his injury and it was essentially his rookie season. I felt he was ready to take a very good step forward in 2013. All that being said, the DET front office did not seem to have the same faith and they brought in Bush.

More than how I deem Hunter's chances of recovering and getting back to form, more than I deem his shot at performing at RB1 level and being the heir to Gore, I would be worried that the SF brass has the patience to nurture him back. But then again, I've just been burned by this very thing in DET, so I'm a little jaded on the subject. But to me, Hunter lost a significant amount of value with this injury.

*EDIT:
I can't even move Leshoure to the Bush owner, and everybody knows a Bush owner should be interested in insurance. :ewink: (Hi italian_stallion21!!)

Well, I traded a 2014 2nd for him for my dynasty team in my sig.

It was accepted with no counter, so that's awesome.....no idea what he might have gone for if I started with a 3rd, but maybe I just happened to hit the nail on the head.

Hunter lost a lot of value no doubt I went out and got James as insurance in case he doesn't come all the way back....that said this kid is a hard worker and all indications are he is ahead of schedule and will be at camp(at what level who knows). I think he is worth a shot as if he does come back he will indeed be lead back in a very very good running team with awesome O-line relatively quickly....I give gore maybe one more year being lead dog .......kid is pretty special that said need to balance risk here and can't overpay, also James is an awfully talented back in own right(maybe more so) tough call but I say roll dice just don't overpay

I think he's a hold. He's clearly more valuable than a mid-late first over a year from now if he's healthy, and all reports are saying that he'll be ready to go by training camp.... This year!
