What to do next?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What to do next?

Postby LMS123 » Fri Apr 19, 2019 7:40 pm

Team 1 in Sig. I feel I have a solid starting line up but am always looking to upgrade; what could I do to my team and how should I try to upgrade?

TE - Kittle
DEF - Saints
K - Gostkowski
Jake Fromm State Farm (12 team PPR SF)
QB: Purdy, ARich (TS), Levis (TS), Bagent, Hall, Rudolph, Fromm
RB: Roschon (TS), Allgeier, Hill, Demercado, McLaughlin, Mitchell, K. Harris, E. Wilson
WR: Addison, London, Jmo, Shaheed, Reed (TS), Pop D, Iosivas, C. Jones, Mooney, T. Palmer, Scott, Tucker, Austin, Gipson, Melton,
TE: Musgrave, Mayer (TS), Trautman, Gray, Jordan
2024: 1.01, 1.07, 2.04, 2.10, 2.11, 3.01, 3.06, 3.07, 3.11
2025: 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4

If anything, I would look to move Green for a couple young upside wr's that will give you more options. Your team looks pretty solid, so I would not force anything if the price is not right.

I disagree with above. I think you have a good team as well. But I’d hold onto A.J. and sell guys like C. Davis and A. Jones right now while youth is king in the offseason. I’d be looking to buy more established, safer starting players.

Pretty solid roster, just needs WR help. I'd shop around Diggs + Njoku for an elite WR.

Agree with going after a stud WR. I think that might be the only thing holding you back from winning it all.

It's a decent starting offer to send, but the Evans owner might want more.

I'd rather pick up some cheap rb depth than go after a stud wr, tbh. diggs averaged 1 ppg less than evans who is widely regarded as a stud. aj green, if healthy is a monster and you have good depth pieces (kirk, robby, quinn) but your rb depth pieces are just bad, unusable jags and you have an arthritic rb 1 and an 'injury prone' rb 3.
12 team ppr, 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 te, 2 flex
QB: Deshaun Watson, Marcus Mariota
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Le'Veon Bell, Kerryon Johnson, Peyton Barber, Ronald Jones, Darwin Thompson
WR: Amari Cooper, Adam Thielen, Antonio Brown, Will Fuller, DeDe Westbrook, Robby Anderson, Marquise Goodwin, Justin Watson, Albert Wilson, Greg Dortch
TE: Travis Kelce, Vance McDonald, Kyle Rudolph, Delanie Walker, Ian Thomas, Gerald Everett

In your opinion who would be some good guys to target with Diggs and Njoku? Evans owner is thin at TE so I was thinking that could work

oooph. with those draft picks, this team could run out of steam fast.
QB: I'd like to gether another qb, but ultimately you don't have the resources for this, and Jackson, Mayfield, and Trubisky should be good for the forseable future

RB:I like Mixon, but Gurly and Jones I have concerns about (Gurly due to knee problems, Jones due to the ability of GB to replace him in 1-2 years). Dixon is decent for some depth, I think he should get some work with Ingram there. But overall not excited about anything besides your starters and even with those I have concerns.

WR: Green, Diggs, and Davis are viable starters and you have decent depth but i'd want to get another WR that could start effectively.

TE: Looks good. Solid position no need to change anything

Picks:
ooph those are some rough picks for the roster that you have. I can easily see your team crashing out in the 2020 season. This is a team that I would seriously consider blowing up and trading most of the assets you have.

I am biased as it’s my team but I think blowing it up is a bit much. I was concerned about my picks as well but 1) I’d rather have a proven player than a pick of equal value and 2) I think a good group of my core is young enough that not having picks the next 2 years won’t really hurt much as I won’t be losing guys to retirement or whatever

I should expand...

I can see your team competing this year (2019) and maybe next (2020), but I have a hard time believing it will competing beyond that without an infusion of new players. This is primarily due to concerns in your RBs with Gurly and Jones, and WR with Green.

Also kinda depends on what other teams look like.
