1.08 and Golladay for 1.02 and Boyd

Postby keebs3 » Fri Apr 19, 2019 1:18 pm

Deep 16 team SF league.
I do desperately need a QB- but have lots of 2020 draft capital and am not going to compete this year.

If you desperately need a QB, then 2020 is better fishing than 2019. And odds are that two QBs (QBs who are lesser than the likely 2020 crop) will go before 1.08, giving you a comparable non-QB player to the one that you'd take at 1.02.

That's a long way of writing that this is a great deal to acquire Golladay while not realistically holding you back from filling your biggest need.

They want a 2/3 pick swap in 2020. I'd be giving up a 2nd along with Boyd and the pick for Golladay and the 1.08.

while this is true...2020 is also a year of some really good RBs... I would rather use my picks on RBs
but if you have multiple 2020 picks, I suppose you can have your cake and eat it too..

for the record, I would prefer Boyd/1.02, even if you don't use the 1.02 on QB (if Murray is gone, I would not use it on a QB)

I like the boyd side even more when you have to add a 2nd. I don't see enough difference between Boyd and Galloway to warrant this deal. Get a QB now and keep building. Galloway will never be a number WR1 ... well maybe in a 16 team he could slide in there.
