Trade offers for Newton and Rodgers

Team in sig, 1 QB league.

I am hoping to move on from Brees and acquire either Newton or Rodgers in exchange for Brees plus.

1) Newton

The Newton owner also has Matt Ryan and he has DJ. So I figure I could offer him Brees + Chase Edmonds(DJ handcuff) + 3.10.

2) Rodgers

The Rodgers owners also has Luck and he has Devonta Freeman. So I figure similarly I could offer Brees + Ito Smith + 3.10.

Are these fair offers?

In a 1 QB league, I think Brees (despite his age) should be close enough to either QB without adding to. Brees should be worth more than Newton to a contender straight up. I'm would add Edmonds for the 1 owner if it gets it done but not the pick. Ito is too interesting as a prospect to add for Rogers in my opinion in a 1 QB league.

Just because another owner has depth doesn't mean that he will or should sell low.

I think that you know that both these offers are light -- so light, in fact, that they might close negotiations before they even begin.

I'm not sure either of those offers gets it done, but I also think your QBs are fine for a 1QB league. Brees is nearing the end, but he should be a QB1 for 2019, and I prefer Cousins over Newton straight up.

If you really want Rodgers though and upgrade an elite QB, I think you'd need to include a better RB or WR. Ito Smith and the 3.10 are not worth much. I'd try offering Brees + 1.10 or Brees + one of your WRs not named Brown or Robinson for Rodgers.
