Finally take this one!?! AB trade

Postby Buckhill Bombers » Mon Apr 15, 2019 2:06 pm

So you guys have been great the last 48 hours as I've been talking about moving AB in one of my 12 team PPR dynasty leagues. Just got what I'm pretty sure will be his best/final offer. I think this one might finally be worth doing, wanted to get some opinions.

Give: AB and Jared Cook
Get: 1.6, Anthony Miller, 2020 1st, Everett

Current Roster (we start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 flex):

Big Ben, Wentz, Darnold
Barkley, Guice, Lindsay, Gio, Lewis
AB, Mike Williams, Sutton, Pettis, Crowder, Samuel, Quinn
Howard, Cook, Gesicki
Picks 1.8, 1.10, 1.11, 2.2, 2.8

I think with getting 1.6, 1.8, 1.10, 1.11, and 2.2, its safe to say I will draft at least one of Hock or Fant so I feel I can defintely move Cook.
And my hope is that I'd be able to hit on at least 1 or 2 good WRs out of 1.6, 1.8, 1.10, 1.11 (and possibly a RB) for the rebuild. And having the 2020 1st helps as well.

At one point I had Watkins in the offer (but not his 20 1st) and while i wish I could sub Watkins for Everett I don't think that's gonna happen. So would you guys take this offer?

I think you don’t try to squeeze out any more. Take it.

I think it looks good as is. Pushing for Watkins may result in not getting anything done

Sorry- I am not making that trade. I know AB is downgradeable because of the Carr connection and drama, but not that much. I would wait until the season starts, AB has a few great games, then trade him. Miller and Everett and a couple picks? Nah, I am AB all day on this one.

I would keep AB in this one too.

The value is fair if you believe the rankings on AB; however, he is going to surprise people in Oakland.
Carr is actually a statistical upgrade on deep passing, something that AB loves to score TDs through.

Even if you commit to a rebuild, you can get more during the season when AB shuts up the doubters.

You are getting a few low-upside lotto tickets back.

Not fair, you are obviously Raider-centric, LOL. And if you go to Oakland to watch AB with an 84 Steelers jersey on, you will be totally pelted with garbage. Just fair warning.

Haha; I knew that was coming..
For the record, I will never wear a Steelers jersey anywhere.
As you said, pelted with garbage and such.

But on a serious note; the statistics from PFF genuinely suggest that Carr may be an upgrade.
Of course, chemistry will need to be established though.

For those saying no to latest offer, if I added Darnold and got Watkins would that change the NO to a yes?

In a team you claim to be trying to rebuild, why on earth would Watkins be a target?

I know he's young-ish; but we know what he is at this point and I have no idea how you could start him with any confidence.

I still think you're better off waiting until the season starts.

Wait till the season starts. I think you can do better. I'd rather trade for a younger ascending talent on a team that wants to win now...

WR (3): D. Hopkins, D. Adams, M. Evans, D.J. Moore, DJ Chark, B. Aiyuk, J. Smith-Schuster, R Bateman, E. Moore
TE (2): I. Smith Jr, H. Henry, Schultz, Tremble

K (1): M. Crosby
