Acquiring Bell

Postby nosferatu » Mon Apr 01, 2019 8:35 am

For team B in signature. Bell has been put on the market by a team desperate for WRs. He currently only has Fitzgerald, Foster, Dorsett, Lasley, Fountain... Would like to cash in some of my WR depth to add Bell as my RB2. I'm trying to come up with the initial offer to get the ball rolling. How does this offer sound for Bell?

Give: Boyd, Shepard, 1.09, 2020 1st (likely late)
Get: Bell, Fitz

If you don't like it, any other ideas? I'd like to hold onto Williams and Golladay if possible, but not against moving them in the right deal.

That's a pretty strong offer. I'd remove the 2020 1st and start there.

Great place to start and build around if taking out the 2020 1st is not enough

That makes sense. The more I think about it, I agree that perhaps my opening offer of essentially 4 1sts is a bit much. I'll see what he thinks without the 2020 1st.

I mean if you're sold on Bell, the extra first shouldn't be the tipping point considering it's very late. You could be looking at acquiring a top 5 WR for a WR2 and a 1.9/1.10, which I think is a great deal. I like Boyd a lot to, but A.J. Green is going to be there as well, and their offense is going to be disastrous next year IMO, which is why im valuing Boyd as a mid to strong WR 2.
Dynasty Team 1:

10 Man, Full PPR, .2 PPC, Double Flex

QB: Kyler Murray
RB: Saquon Barkley , Breece Hall, Swift, Dobbins, Gibson, CEH
WR: Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Jamarr Chase, DK Metcalf, Devonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy
TE: Travis Kelce

2023 Picks: 1.4, 1.8, 2.9, 3.2, 3.6, 3.8

Dynasty Team 2:

10 Man, Half PPR, Double Flex

QB: Tua
RB: Barkley , Mixon, Javonte, Jacobs, CEH
WR: AJB, Tyreek, Lamb, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Kittle

2022 Picks: 1.5, 1.6, 2.3
2023 Picks: 2 x 1st, 2 x 2nd

Are you suggesting trading someone like Cooks+1.09 for a WR1? Boyd+1.09 would definitely not net me a WR1. Pairing Nuk with another WR1 is definitely an option, but I feel like solidifying my RB2 would be more valuable. I know another team in my league has been looking to acquire a top tier WR since last year without any success. I think I could potentially add Bell and upgrade at WR by way of my 2020 1sts.
