Mike Davis

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mike Davis

Postby TrojanDynasty32 » Sat Mar 23, 2019 5:00 pm

Just curious what his value is these days. I don’t think Howard will be there next year & Cohen can’t be given a lot of touches.

I was given the following offer in my 12 team superflex, PPR, IDP (team 1 in sig):

I give- Davis & 5.07

I get- Riddick & 4.12

I know Riddick gets his share of targets, but I’m just not a fan, especially w/ Kerryon already on my roster and that I think Davis could earn a bigger load share in Chicago, but I could be wrong and wanted to see what everyone thought.

Which side do you guys favor?

Or what would it take to balance out: Davis+ For Pettis+?

Thanks

Definitely the Davis side. Not his biggest fan but I suspect (like everyone else) that Howard will not play for the bears this year, so Davis has a chance to be like a low end rb2 or an rb3. Riddick is nothing. A 4th doesn’t move the needle.

Davis > Riddick. The pick upgrade is on the wrong side and should be higher

I’m unsure of both backs role going forward. It’s possible Davis takes over Howard’s looks. I dunno. Riddick: for everything he’s not, he is a plus as a recieving back. Does he continue/fade/resurge/get dealt from the lions?

I think the rest of FA/draft answers this and I can’t tell you I have Davis firmly ahead of Riddick right now. What if the bears go RB in rounds 1-3? What if Detroit doesn’t add anybody? (This means kerryon and Theo pretty much)

The pick exchange means just about nothing to me

I picked up Davis tight before the end of the season and have always liked him. In the Howard role he's going yo do well. That offer stinks

It’s amazing...

Davis has 7 career starts and has really done nothing. He is all speculative.

Meanwhile Howard has posted 2 1,000 yard seasons and 1 900+ season and he is getting no love. Sure Howard isn’t a pass catcher but that is what makes his stats even better because he does it basically on 2 downs. Chicago paired him up with the perfect pass catching scat back and the synergy works.

Personally, Davis is no better than a prove. backup at this point. I would keep both and let the chips fall where they may. Trading Howard would be a mistake IMO.
