Damien Williams vs David Johnson

Been offered Williams and ARob for DJ and Marquis Lee. What is the opinion of Damien Williams going forward? The million dollar question is is he the #1 RB going forward in KC?

Robinson is a huge upgrade over Lee. If you think Williams is the starter in KC this is a pretty solid trade. AZ could rebound this year or it could be another couple years of Johnson not putting up a ton of points.

Personally I would keep DJ here. We know that he will be a starter, get almost every RB touch and produce. If you want the other side, it will probably be there when the season starts and you know if they draft anyone else and see how they plan to split touches. I'm also not really an Arob believer. Outside of one good season he hasn't really done anything.

I would just want more sure things if moving DJ.

I would hold DJ here. I know Reid prefers a #1 back but I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the RBBC approach with what he has on the roster.

It sounds like the other owner is trying to sell high on Williams while he still can in my opinion.

Seems pretty close. I'd counter with Johnson + Lee for Robinson + Williams + 2nd.

I don't like this deal. It seems like you should be getting a better and more sure thing for DJ. Shop him around. I would expect you'll find a better offer. If not, I would hold until someone is willing to do better.

This. DJ is proven. ARob and D Williams are not. DJ has a down year in the worse offense and still was RB9 in PPR. That says something about the room to grow in the Kingbury offense

Hold DJ. Don't care enough about either ARob or Lee, so this RB vs RB. Williams has the situation going for him now but that is it. DJ is the better talent, more proven, and is locked in as the guy. Situation's change.

I'm baffled some even think this is "close" we see this EVERY season and every season people fall into the snakepit of buying into a chump that ends up unstartable within a year. Ty Montgomery, Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Alex Collins, Rex Burkhead, Spencer Ware all guys that took 20 seconds to think of that were all hyped up and failed miserably. Damien Williams was a chump before the chiefs for 4 YEARS! He's not even the highest paid RB on his team anymore. He's a backup that did an admirable job filling in for Hunt but just like Ware was an admirable backup filling in for an injured JC the odds are stacked against him to be worth more than a turd sandwich come the end of 2019 season. DJ is a stud muffin who was an RB1 even on the worst coached team in the league and has one of the highest touch percentages behind only Zeke and is getting paid big boi money.

I'm not a huge DJ guy going forward - but you should absolutely get more than this.
Losing DJ for a RB we can't guarantee will be the starter and a WR now 3 seasons removed from his one great year is not the wisest decision one could make.
