Bell for Chubb Deal

Postby pmart33 » Wed Mar 20, 2019 5:59 am

Team 1 in sig. Thoughts are welcomed

Get: Chubb, Geronimo Allison, Nyheim Hines, Pick 36
Give: Bell, Sanders, Desean Jackson, Pick 26, 2020 2nd (Proj. Late)

My thought process: Get younger while still competing for a title the next few years.

I think the deal is fairly close. I would like it more if you were able to get a different younger WR then Allison

To me this deal is:

Chubb and nothing important.

Vs

Bell and nothing important.

I would want Chubb over Bell personally, so the Chubb side.

Basically Chubb for Bell + 2nd. None of the other pieces really matter. I'd pay that for Chubb.

That was my thought as well. And if I'm swapping pieces that don't matter for pieces that don't matter I may as well get the younger set of pieces

I honestly don't think this is even close, but I also hate Bell landing in NY. Chubb side for me.

I don't know how people say no other pieces matter when Hines had 60 catches as a rookie.

bell goes before chubb in startups but everyone on the forum says chubb over bell, think the forum is a bit youth crazed at times. no way chubb sees anywhere near bells volume and certainly wont sniff it week 9 and beyond, imo. bells worry right now is conditioning, not that hes one of several high end targets fighting for touches or that hes 1 of 2 elite running backs on his own team.

if my team is junk and im rebuilding i certainly want chubb who is 4 years younger, but if im win now or on the cusp of contention i would take bell no problem.

i agree with all above posters that the picks and fluff pieces are not swaying this deal one way or the other. 60 catches for hines went out the window when he got 3 touches in 2 playoff games and we all watched mack play lights out.
