Trade Advice: Guice for AJ

Postby bclark » Tue Mar 19, 2019 5:15 pm

Hey,

I've been offered AJ Green and Ito Smith for Derrius Guice and 3.08. Team 2 in sig. Should I accept? Does it help my team enough to have a good chance at competing for a championship? I was only 39 possible points away from the league leader last year. My team is pretty young. Trading for Green would definitely be a win-now move though.

Thanks,
Brian

How confident are we in the Redskins offense? I wasn't very high on Guice before his landing spot or injury. I would rather have AJG and Ito, personally, but I feel it's pretty fair value either way, your team lacks depth at WR and RB so that would make me lean toward AJG/Ito package too.

Take AJG if competing easily.

Easily.

For your contending team, I'd probably take Green + Smith. With Adrian Peterson re-signed for a year or two, and WAS having no viable QB to run a productive offense, I don't know how much production you're going to get from Guice in the near future despite his talent.

The only caveat is that I'd shop Guice around a bit more before selling to see if you can get a better deal. I feel like Guice's ADP / market value hasn't really dropped despite his ACL tear and the Peterson re-signing, which is baffling to me.
