Sammy/Hill value and strategy

anyone going out and buying Sammy cheap? owners asking for more now? what would you pay to have a possible WR1 on a Pat Mahomes offense?

Anyone going out and buying Hill and thinking "eh he will get 8 games but come back and get a job and be an elite wr once again"?

Buying off a win now team seems like a great move, i sold cheap on a team i am back to back champion mostly because i dont want to miss a beat if he does get heavy punishment.


I've already dumped 2 shares of Hill and looking to get off my last 2, not giving him away but def selling cheap (one deal i sent Hill a 3rd and a 6th for Corey Davis, another i sent Hill, Curtis Samuel, and a mid 2 for Keenan Allen and Kenneth Dixon) but now I'm thinking i gotta get more Sammy if the price is cheap why not?

Im more curious how people are viewing Sammy and his potential in a world without Hill, are you buying?

seems a lot of hill owners are nervously holding and hoping for positive news. In the meantime id send some lowball sammy offers and hope they either dont know the news or have been waiting for an opportunity like this to get some value out of him via trade.

I have Hill and Sammy. Put both on the trade block. Zero offers.

I was in negotiations with three owners prior to the Hill news, but once the Hill news hit, they all scattered. Still no idea what I'm going to do.

As a Mahomes owner, I would love to take a shot at Watkins but I'm guessing his price will be ridiculous at this point and not worth it at all.

im in a startup right now and he still went 2.11 which is absurd to me. but it goes to show there are owners out there holding out hope and thinking things are fine..

Current hill owner. Had 4 offers prior to news and have had 2 after but the value hasnt been what it was before.

Unless I'm missing something new related I dont think the hill worry is justified. The first report that came out two weeks ago was thrown away and the one that happened last week he wasnt listed on so unless the NFL has factual written proof that he was involved they cant really take action. I dont think Hill gets suspended and even if he does Im not selling for cheap. Id rather wait until he establishes himself again after suspension and sell then sell right now when his price is by far the lowest.

I'm on the opposite side I've bought Hill for not cheap prices in 3 of my 4 dynasty leagues. He might be a really bad person but my bet is he's a really bad person playing football next season. If he gets the book thrown at him or suspended the whole year I royally $&#-ed myself. Not the best place to be in I suppose counting on hills morality but I am banking on the NFLs ineptitude. None of my leagues were/are selling Hill at the cheap prices I've seen around here. Very little drop in perceived value but I got at a good discount

My opinion on Watkins is I would definitely be looking to sell high if I can. Unless he finally breaks out he most assuredly will not be a chief in 2020 at 16 million with no garunteed money left.

Sent out some offers and inquiries for Hill; every single owner looking for pre-news value.
I think many are waiting to see what happens and I don't really blame them.

Agreed. I've seen a few panic sells, but I haven't gotten any offers in the leagues where I own Hill. It's probably prudent to acquire Watkins if you can for a mid/late 1st, but the asking price might be more given the Hill news story.

If hill is implicated in breaking his child’s arm he’s not going to get suspensded, he’s going straight to jail and barred from the league.

think that might be the case here but not sure, AP was already a glorified legend when his story broke, idk if public opinion will matter here or not, for hill i hope not as he was not viewed as a holy man prior to these allegations.

i could see a bigger ban though as the NFL has been on more damage control since this AP story of 2014. time will tell

The thing is if he really broke his 3 year old kids arm he isn't getting suspended he is going to jail and getting banned from the NFL , It is a lot worse than what AP did plus he already beat up his 8 week pregnant GF even punched her in the stomach in 2014 so he has a history.
