Kupp+ for Hunt+

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kupp+ for Hunt+

Postby jdomer2403 » Sun Mar 17, 2019 12:39 pm

Made a deal for Hunt as I am chasing the upside. Looking for a few thoughts on the deal.

Traded Kupp and Gus Edwards
Received Kareem Hunt, Tevin Coleman and 2.07

It is great return for Kupp but he averaged 17ppg last year and that is tough to replace.

If Hunt comes back and regains his form, this is a pretty nice deal. I'm not very high on Coleman but I like him more then Edwards. We will see how Kupp comes back as well...

The majority will take the Hunt side because “he will be traded and will be top 5 once he serves his suspension”

However I figure this is a lost season for him. Once he sits out the first eight he will be on the Browns and I highly doubt he out touches Chubb. Coleman is in a RBBC and I believe McKinnon leads the teams in touches. Edwards is garbage so who cares regarding him. However, barring injury Kupp will be an unsexy WR2 that you traded for two guys that won’t crack your lineup on a weekly basis.

I dont mind it at all. Again a lot can happen in fantasy football and I've been saying all along just pretend Hunt tore his ACL in week 12 and chalk up the 2019 season as lost. He's a still a top 10 RB and is just 24 years old in 2019. That upside alone is worth Kupp who is a solid WR2. Getting Coleman and the 2.07 over Edwards is just icing on the cake.

This is what I was worried about. I’m tickering at this point.

Lean Hunt + Coleman side a bit, but it's fair. That side will also be much better if SF cuts or trades McKinnon.

PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd
