in a 1QB I wouldn't bother. But Baker is the better QB. Darnold isn't *too* far behind though IMO and the Jets are on the rise.

Why is this a slam dunk for the pick? This pick could end up being worthless in a year or so.
Mayfield is going to be a top 5 QB value wise for a while and he might even be a solid starter this year.
I get 1 QB leagues 1sts are more valuable, but it’s a weak class and Baker is a guy you want to have. If you can flip the pick for a proven asset, then I understand. But it’s not a slam dunk for me.

I'll take Baker easily.
In a 1QB league, you're looking for a difference-maker at QB. There are only 2-5 QBs with any realistic shot of 38+ TDs. If you can get one, then you have a real advantage. Outside those top 5ish QBs, there is a large group (and I think that Darnold will soon be in that group) of great QBs whose scoring isn't meaningfully different than the others.
If you think that Mayfield will be in -- even near the top -- of that large group around 6-15, then definitely take the Darnold and the pick.
Me? I'm in the camp that believes that Mayfield has a real shot of being in that elite group -- and a FAAAR better chance than Darnold. Might not happen, of course. But, I would gladly concede 1.10 to take the chance of it happening and having a rare difference-maker at QB for potentially the next decade.
