Help facilitate a Barkley trade.

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Help facilitate a Barkley trade.

Postby joekuhns11 » Thu Mar 14, 2019 12:55 pm

I am trying to trade for Saquan Barkley in TEAM #1 in signature with out getting rid of Gurley. I'd prefer to center it around Melvin Gordon or Chubb.

His team needs WR help the most.

Would a Chubb, Cooper, ARob trade be too much? Or what are your guys thoughts on what is fair.

We start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1flex
Team #1 (Finished 2nd)
QB - Watson
RB - Hall, Pacheco, Jacobs, Mixon
WR - Tyreek, Chase, Jayden Reed, Godwin, Cooper
TE - Goedert, Kmet
2024 Picks: 1.01, 1.05, 1.07, 1.10

Team #2 (Finished 1st)
QB - Tua, Pickett
RB - Hall, Barkley, K. Walker, James Cook
WR - Chase, D. Smith, D. Adams, Hopkins, Jameson Williams
TE - Laporta
2024 Picks: None

The Chubb offer might be a good place to start. Based on the Barkley trades I have seen, it probably will not be enough. Tough time to be buying Barkley.

This a 12 team league? I think it's a fair opening offer for Barkley, but it likely won't be enough. Arob doesn't add much at this point. I'd want a better WR along with Chubb to move Barkely, or a better RB altogether. Could be good to offer though and see if you get a counter you can live with.

do you have any picks? im not seeing how this would help your team unless you can replace some of the high quality depth you would be losing.

chubb and cooper is about as much as i would be able to stomach personally.

I wouldn’t bother to counter if you offered me that for Barkley.
As context I paid: Dalvin Cook, Sony Michel, Mike Williams, Allen Robinson, Late 2019 1st, Late 2019 2nd for Barkley towards the end of last season and I still think I won. If you want the #1 dynasty asset who is a 22 year old generational talent you’re going to have to pay up.
12 Team. Roster 22, 4 TS. PPR, TE Prem (1.75). Start 1 QB, 5 flex (2 RB Max), 1 Def, 1 K
QB P. Mahomes, J. Goff, B Zappe (TS)

Do you have picks? Maybe Chubb/Gordon, Cooper and a 2019 1st but again, I don’t see that this would help your team so I wouldn’t make the trade

Don't trade for him. It will not be worth it. You need to drop AROB and add more like the above post....so not worth it. Unless you just want to cheer for your guy and he is on your team...go for it...its only FF!

Why are you against trading Gurley? I'd rather include him than Chubb. Also, since it looks like paying up for Barkley would impact your lineup and depth, now might not be the time to go after him. Although, he may not get any cheaper than he is right now until he's in his late 20's.

Original offer won't be enough. ARob doesn't move the needle anymore. Also not sure it's worth sacrificing so much depth as others have said.
