What would you do with J. Conner

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What would you do with J. Conner

Postby ravn88 » Fri Feb 22, 2019 5:59 pm

I got an orphan SF team, heading to my first full season. QB, SF, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX

QB; Baker, Wentz and Carr
RB; Ellitot, Conner, AP and R. Freeman
WR; Cooks, Landry, Mike Williams, Sammy
TE; Ebron, Goedert and Herndon

Picks 1.2, 2.2 and so on.
2020 4 1st.

I like my general age on my team but, im really torn about Conner..

Is the Steelers to much of a mess now, Bell and Bronw problably gone, leaves (for now) just Juju and Conner with all the attention.
Big Ben's getting old.

Keep him, trade for picks (maybe 2 bottom half 2020 1st) Or a package deal with K. Johnson and Godwin or some sort..

I think Godwin and Kerryon could really help your team moving forward if that is an option.

I like Conner but his value is ridiculously inflated right now. In my opinion, he is a sell high. He fell into the perfect situation last year and he produced very well. It’s hard to imagine him doing even better next year and having an even higher ADP. AB is in all likelihood gone and Ben won’t be around much longer. I would ship him off in a second if you could get anywhere near what people are valuing him as.

Kerryon and Godwin sounds like a pretty good deal. Realistically Godwin and Mwill to back up Cooks isn't bad. Mwill and godwin can both take the leap to the next level and establish themselves as high end WR2 next season if everything goes right. You'd also be getting a really good replacement at RB 2 in kerryon with a lot of upside to back up zeke. I'm assuming a healthy kerryon who gets most of the workload would really breakout next year. Lastly, I would most probably use that 1.02 on a RB if they go in the first and land in a good spot. It would put you at 3 solid Wrs/Rbs and get you ready for the deep 2020 class. 4 firsts in that class is going to be insane so you might as well just start preparing for then.

Wouldn't be surprised either if kerryon/Mwill/godwin take the right steps next year that you could probably package a first or something with any of them to upgrade once again.
