Say you’re coming off a championship season and you have a cornerstone of Cam, Barkley, Mixon, Conner, MT, Cooper...

Pick a side to how you would move forward into the offseason

QB
- Josh Allen/Anthony Richardson/Gardner Minshew
RB - Bijan Robinson/Javonte Williams/Joe Mixon/Brian Robinson/Kendre Miller/Chase Brown
WR - Ja’Marr Chase/DJ Moore/DeVonta Smith/Zay FlowersJosh Downs/Tank Dell/Skyy Moore/Dontayvion Wicks/Trey Palmer
TE - TJ Hockenson/Sam LaPorta/Cole Kmet
K - Harrison Butker
DL - Myles Garrett/Jeffrey Simmons/Brian Burns/Christian Barmore/Ed Oliver
LB - Shaq Thompson/Ivan Pace Jr/Pete Werner/Christian Harris/Blake Cashman/Micah McFadden
DB - Kyle Hamilton/Jevon Holland/Reed Blankenship/Kyle Dugger/Dax Hill/Jalen Thompson/Amani Hooker
IR -
TS - Isaiah Likely/Isaiah Spiller/Xavier Gipson

2024 Draft picks - 1st (x2), 2nd (x4), 3rd, 4th
2025 Draft picks - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th

I would go with the Cooper and 1.01 side. That allows you to get another young piece in Cooper and your pick of the rookies this year to help add depth/another potential starter. Nice RB cornerstones!

who the heck is voting cooper side?

thielen side has a better WR, a free TE, a top 4 first in a class without a true 1.01, a better 2nd,a better 3rd, a free 2020 first, and a free 2020 2nd

if you are youth obsessed and love 5th round picks its easily cooper side though
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

This really boils down to Thielen + 2020 1st + 2020 2nd for Cooper.

Any idea where those picks would be? Presuming that they're random, I'll go with Cooper. I don't love Cooper's inconsistency, but I think that that Thielen is a sell. No way, IMO, that he ever comes close to reproducing the first half of his 2018 season. I'd easily rather have Cooper than him, and I don't think that a random 2020 1st and 2nd closes the gap.

The picks would be somewhere in the middle of the draft, average team so I’d place them somewhere between 4 and 8 in a 12 team league.

It's a mistake to just consider 1.01 vs 1.04 a wash. There are a LOT of scenarios where 1.01 could end up being worth a lot more.

Also just for fun, PPG the 2nd half of last season (after Cooper was traded to Dallas).

Just like I do not think Theilen will repeat his first half of last year, Cooper will not repeat his three game stretch from the second half. He has age on Adam, and that is many people's thing, but unless the Boys get rid of Elliott, the passing offense will be very inconsistent for fantasy purposes. Regardless, the 1.04 is not far behind the 1.01 this year, and the 2020 1st and 2nd easily pushes that over the top.

Then I'd take the Cooper side. Absolutely a fair offer, and I could argue both sides. But, I am a much bigger believer in Cooper (despite his inconsistencies) than in continued elite production from Thielen.

Another thing to consider, we have a draft bracket. So while he snuck into the playoffs last year he’s also superior to the lower place teams. IF he doesn’t make the playoffs and beats the lower teams then he’s in play for 1.1 in 2020 other wise the pick is in play for where his record is.
