OJ Howard Offer

Postby DLF_TylerK » Sun Feb 17, 2019 8:12 am

I'm thinking of offering the following trade for my team in sig. 10 team PPR. Is OJ Howard worth that much?

Give: Ebron, Doyle, 1.10
Get: OJ Howard

I would make that trade for Howard. Maybe see if you can keep Doyle or the pick. I think this is a great time to cash in on Ebron.

I prefer the Indy TE side along with a 1st rounder. I reckon you could get away with paying less. I do like the idea though, you have the depth to pull it off. Agree with above, I would be selling high on Ebron all off season

So maybe I should open with the 2.05 instead of the 1.10? Or I could ask for a 2nd back on the Howard side?

Exactly that plan. Like it! Let me know which you manage to pull off

1) Good idea!

2) I'd make the trade as-is if need be. Neither Ebron nor Doyle will likely be as reliable as Howard week-to-week. And you gain a roster spot this way. Everyone always forgets about the extra roster spot as a bonus...

If you've got a good vet starter, I'd pay that for Howard.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I've never seen value in Doyle. Ebron screams sell high to me. A late 1st isn't much to add on top to get Howard. If you can get it done with the 2nd, more power to you. I'd side with Howard here

I don't think I'm going to be able to get a deal done for Howard. Unfortunately, I've tried to get all the tier 1 and tier 2 TEs but nobody in my league is really budging. They all have exactly 1 of those 7 guys (Kelce, Ertz, Kittle, Henry, Howard, Njoku, Engram) and they're holding on to them very tight.

Howard >= Ebron. I'd consider Ebron + 2.05 if you really like Howard. No way I'd add the 1.10.

12-Team PPR | QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, W/R/T, K, DST
QB: Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers

PS: Mecole Hardman, Tony Pollard | 2020 Picks: 1.09, 2.10, 3.03 | 2021 Picks: 1st, 2nd

I like Ebron more than most, but I love Howard. It would be a good sized jump for me. However, once the price increased past the 1.10, I decided that I would just roll with my TEs for now. Maybe Harris will sign with a good team and become something and if not, I could always look at Fant or Hockenson at the 2.05. Since it's a 10 teamer and few teams need TE, they might fall in the draft to where they'd be an excellent value.

I think that is a pretty smart move by all the owners. TE's are very tough to hit on and if you have a stud, they are extremely valuable and the same is true for a young TE who actually looks pretty solid his first couple years. Have you considered trying to buy Herndon at a cheap price (if possible)? Not one of the guys you are looking at but could prove great value by the end of next year.

Luckily I have Herndon already. I picked him up midseason. So that is a point in my favor. It’s my team in sig if you want to see all my TEs.
