Acquiring a 1st to get AB

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Acquiring a 1st to get AB

Postby Dunville » Sun Feb 17, 2019 2:34 am

Team 1 in sig,

The AB owner in this league has made him available for 2 x firsts and a 3rd, he’s in a rebuild. I feel this is a very reasonable price even with the question marks.

I have my own 2020 picks except a 2nd and 2019 3.01, 4.01, 4.08, 4.10, 4.12, 5.02

AB would slide in as my WR1, and make my team stronger and obvious competitor but with very little in terms of future draft capital.

1) Is this trade worth while for my team or should I ride what I have an keep the future draft capital?

2) Is there any trades using pieces from my team that could help me acquire a 1st in either 2019 or 2020? (Let’s assume acquiring a mid 1st) to then acquire AB

Cheers guys

Grabbing AB could help you be a big contender this year based on your roster. 2 1st's and a 3rd is a fair price but is also a fair amount to give up. If you want to make a run this year, I would pay that price for AB after he signs. If he goes to a really bad landing spot, I may reconsider. We are going to see if AB is a product of a great QB and system or if it's him.
