Luck worth 1.07?

Is Luck worth the 1.07 in a 14 teamer? Looking for thoughts, I'm the owner of the 1.07 My team is kinda in the rebuilding phase where everything kinda feel completely apart last year so I decided to move some guys. I originally sent out an offer of 1.07/Rivers for Luck/Z. Jones/2.08 I was countered 1.07 for Luck. Should I stay the course and keep the pick or continue to figure out a deal for Luck.

if 1QB I'm still leaning towards yes with the condition that you then try to sell Rivers or Stafford for something you can use.

In a 1QB I think the value is about right. I have a hard time paying up for QBs in a 1QB, but having your QB position set for potentially the next 6-9 yrs is pretty nice. I also don't value draft picks very highly after pick 1.04 myself, so 1.07 doesn't feel like a huge price to pay.

That said, after looking at your roster, I think I'd rather just roll with Rivers next yr, and take whatever RB falls to 1.07, then take whatever QB falls to your 2.07 pick (Kyler or Haskins). You need some more RB depth (& starters), so taking an RB with 1.07, or trading 1.07 for an established RB, would help more than trading it for Luck imo.

If you really like one QB over the other, you could prob package 2.07 with Stafford to move up to 2.04ish so you can get your guy. IMO, in a 1QB, no QB in this draft should go before round 3, but if your worried about it that's prob a move you could make.

I think Luck is worth close to the 1.05 or a bit higher in 1QB leagues. I get the hype of rookie picks and you could very well lose the trade in the long run but we KNOW Luck is going to be a top 5 QB for the next 5+ years. that 1.05 is a crap shoot

man i know this is all opinion based but i really do not like the takes on this thread.

its a 1 qb and you have a guy who just finished top 6 and a guy who is only 31 and had a down year but has been a top qb before and is always serviceable at worst.

your RBs as to your own admission are trash, your wrs need help. just about the only thing you dont need to address is QB.

sending a first for a qb you dont need is not advised.

my answer is not only no but H*LL no i would not send 1.07 for luck with your team and your needs.

I'm with you Ross. Absolutely not. 14 team team 1 QB you roll with Stafford and Rivers. No way I'm spending a 1st on a QB. Never had to, never will.

Agree with the above guys also and say no not in 1qb. You need other assets. I was able to move 2.05 last year for luck in 1qb and was still unsure about it.

Luck is easily worth that. Unless it is hard to make trades in this league, you can then trade either Rivers or Stafford. When rebuilding any trade for value is a good trade.

I’ve been active on other thread defending the value of QBs even in 1QB leagues, so take this post knowing I’m on that side.

I have luck worth literally double the 1.07 in pure value. Now there’s rosters I wouldn’t give, say, 1.07 and 1.08 for luck, sure. But I can’t imagine I’d pass on 1.07 for luck under really any circumstance.

However league climate on QB value could come into play here. Have to keep in mind that the entire league, not just yourself determines value, if Luck’s consensus value isn’t even close to 1.07, you won’t get a ham sandwich for rivers or Stafford.

Now, part of why I value QB higher also is that I suck at matchups. Rivers and Stafford QBBC could be very serviceable, but I’m personally a guarantee to start the wrong one (started the wrong Wilson/Goff all but 2 games last year in sig league)

With *that* said though, I have a hard time rostering one strong QB in a 14. Your QB goes down, your chances at competitiveness drop big time imo. Figure the top 20 QBs are rostered, minimum. Competitive teams are earning 30 ppg at QB, and you are now getting 15, with little to no recourse.
