Decided To Rebuild

So I've been in the playoffs every year since the league started (except one year I think where I missed out by one game) but I'm always one and done. My team is getting older so I've decided to rebuild.

Who do you think is worth building around? Currently I have everyone on my trade bait except ..

Dak Prescott, Devonta Freeman, Zach Ertz, Myles Jack, Deion Jones, Desmond King, Budda Baker and Derwin James.

If you are going into a rebuild, you should be selling Freeman and Ertz as well. Your offense is awful. I see absolutely no one I want to build around. Sell everyone and just start all over again.

i will ignore IDP, because i know nothing about that aspect
but i agree with the rest
1. sell Ertz since you will likely get a good return for him...maybe HH or Ebron (he is still pretty young) and 2nd
2. sell Aaron Rodgers .... QBs are difficult to trade in a 1QB league, so you will probably have to sell "low" (i sold Wilson for Alex Smith and 2019 1st that turned into 1.02)... that is the kind deal i would look for...perhaps Josh Allen owner will pay for Rodgers...or Rosen and 2019 (or 2020) 1st
3. sell D Freeman...he will probably be the hardest sell right now...if you believe he will rebound, you may want to hold until he has a big game...if you decide to sell, i would try to get an upside WR and a pick (Callaway and 2nd?...don't think you will get much more now)
4. sell Antonio...unfortunately, this is a terrible time ... i feel you may need to wait til in season...i am not worried...his value will return... nobody wants to prove that more than Antonio
5. sell Tate...i have no idea what his value is right now...can you get a mid 2nd?

1. HH Has just been traded so I can;t go for him. Might be able to get Ebron though.

2. It's impossible to trade QBs in this league. I offered Rodgers out for a 2nd and nobody wanted him.

3. Everyone PAYS for RBs in this league so if I hold out a little I should be able to get something decent for him.

4. I have been speaking to someone about AB. What would you put his value at?

5. I have been offered a 3rd for Tate, but think I should be able to get a 2nd once we know exactly what's happening. I thin I could still get the 3rd worst case if he didn't go somewhere too favourable.

Thanks for the responses guys. To be honest I have known that I've needed to rebuild for a year or so but my defense wins me games so I've just keep holding off.

This was my first dynasty league and I haven;t actually rebuilt a team properly before. Here goes nothing!

I am guessing Golladay was involved. I was wondering why no one was saying keep him, but I am guessing it is because he was not there when everyone else was looking.

Edit: According to the transactions it was:

Ertz, Zach PHI TE for Golladay, Kenny DET WR; Year 2020 Round 2 Draft Pick

Rodgers went for Tannehill and a 2020 3rd

IDP wise you should hold the following:

Myles Jack
Deion Jones
Derwin James
Budda Baker

Everyone else should be a sell. I also think you should've kept Ertz as he's still pretty young for a TE. I also would've held Rodgers because a 3rd round pick is pretty useless. Rather keep the top QB at that point in case you're able to do a quick turn around.

For reference - Brown just went for Golladay+Duke Johnson+2020 1st (mid/late)

i think he got golladay, michel and 2020 2nd...

but i would have kept Rodgers...if nobody wants to pay for him now, i would have waited until in season and Rodgers starts putting up numbers...

I took one look at your team and knew you defense was carrying you. I love that IDP scoring. You have to trade JJ STAT. He should bring in a haul to a contender. Let us know what you get for him.

Good move to sell Ertz. He will be 29 this year, I think Kittle passes him, and his value can only go down. I don’t see this team competing in the next year or two. Get a good haul for Ertz now.

Hey guys. Been busy so I've only just had chance to come back to this.

Sold Ertz for Golladay and a 2nd. Pretty happy with this. I wasn't overly fussed on selling Ertz really but I got a younger WR and a decent pick to possibly grab someone that could end up being ERtz's replacement on my team.

Rodgers for a 3rd wasn't ideal, but like I said guys just don't pay for QB's in this league ... and it seems that as soon as someone gets past 30 they're almost worthless. A 3rd round pick could get me a decent IDP player though. In last three years I've drafted:

2018 - 3.05 - Derwin James
2017 - 3.13 - Budda Baker
2016 - 4.02 - Deion Jones

I could probably sell these guys for at least 2nd round picks now in this league, and could definitely get a 1st for Jones.

I've had a bit of interest in AB as well. Looking to get a couple of 1sts and a couple of later picks to add some depth/upside guys.

I will keep you guys updated with how I get on.
