Sony vs 1.05

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Postby RotateThatFish » Wed Feb 13, 2019 5:58 am

Team in sig. Need a bit of RB help. Thinking of offering up the 1.05 for Sony. Fair?

If the Sony owner really likes a couple WR's in the draft, there is a chance this is accepted. I personally would not even consider that deal but it could. It might be a tough time to try and but Michel after his playoff run and the prospects of next seasons TD stats.

Easily would pay the pick to get Sony. Not sure many owners will sell that low

That's where he was going in the '18 rookie draft, don't think he's done much to hurt his stock.

I've been trying to unload him because I just have him in too many leagues (5 of my 10 dynasty leagues), and I can't be sure if the Patriots will be willing to do the sensible thing (weird to say considering what they do works) and use Sony more in the passing game so they can disguise intentions better (he caught plenty of balls in college, he can catch). If he is just getting red zone work and 16-20+ carries and no use in the passing game his value in my ppr leagues just won't match his current ADP valuation given enough time. Eventually people are going to realize he NEVER has explosive weeks, and has a low floor because of the lack of emphasis in the passing game.

I managed to deal him in 1 of my 5 leagues so far, and would like to unload him in 1 or 2 more but so far no bites in one league, and in the other we haven't gotten enough renewals yet for me to even try to renew him. He's really unusual as I've never seen a guy with his ADP so consistently unwanted in dynasty leagues from people I talk to. People have the same concerns I do. I don't like trading away players in the offseason so if I can't get a quality deal done in the next month I'll probably keep him and try to trade him before the deadline next season.

Michel is worth more than that, so if you can get him with that pick, go for it.

Thanks guys. Said that he'd need a little more, but didn't specify. I'll explore some other options, there's every chance I can draft a solid RB at 1.05 as there's a few QB needy teams ahead of me in the draft who might look to QB's. If nothing else the pick will increase in value.
