Cooks and Cohen enough to snag Mike Evans?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cooks and Cohen enough to snag Mike Evans?

Postby Pats/VikesFan » Thu Jan 24, 2019 7:03 am

Title says it all.

Trying to improve my WRs.

One owner has Hill and Hopkins and another owner in the league has OBJ, Michael Thomas, JuJu and Davante Adams. Neither of them is willing to trade with me. I have the strongest RB combination and depth in the league. I have offered Cooks and Cohen to the owner of Evans (who finished the season starting Elijah McGuire and AP).

Do I need to add more?

As an evans owner that wouldnt get it done for me. Id want a better peice then cohen. Sometimes a slight overpay is necessary and goes a long way, especially if your options are becoming very limited.

It's a good opening offer. I'd say it has a 33% chance of being accepted depending on their valuation of Cohen. I wouldn't add too much more though, maybe a 2nd on top.

That's a great trade offer if you ask me. I wouldn't accept it but its the type of trade you can send out that isn't offensive and has a relatively decent chance of getting a lucky accept.

I agree with most above. It's a fair offer. It wouldn't get my Evans share, but it's something I would at least take longer than a second to think about and I might send a counter from there.

I wouldn't add much to it if I were you, value wise it is pretty spot on.

Shouldn't be enough, but plenty of people who view Cohen as a borderline RB1, so you never know.

I would need more to move Mike Evans. But I'm not as high on Cohen as others.

I'd mull it over for a bit. I don't care for Cohen too much so I may just stick with Evans. I don't think him and Cooks are too far apart though either. If I believed in Cohen a bit more I'd say you were giving up too much

The problem may turn out to be that he doesn't appreciate Cohen. I think there is a tier difference between Cooks and Evans. How comfortable would you be using T. Coleman instead? You may be able to get a 2nd back, but since you're going to him, you have to incentivize the move.

Not a bad idea. I'd rather have Cohen than Coleman in PPR anyway, but Coleman's value is a little less "in the eye of the beholder". With Guice coming back either guy is probably his RB4.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

This is honestly a great starting offer, very fair without overpaying a filling a need for his team. IF you like cohen and cooks, like me, you'd probably take that side, if not then the evans side.I can see him rejecting or accepting this with decent odds either way and just comes down to personal evaluations (for me evans WR7 to Cooks WR12 and one tier below). Saying that I wouldn't add much more to your side maybe a second or comparable player

Agree with the general sentiment; it all depends on how the Evans owner views Cohen. Update with the results.

I sent this trade out last Tuesday and have not received any response but the read receipt. So I would assume the trade is not cutting it for him.
