DJ value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

DJ value

Postby Hambone » Wed Jan 23, 2019 5:18 am

12 team PPR, standard scoring/lineups

Got the following offer:

I give: A.Jones, Boyd
I get: DJ

Seems like decent value for DJ but not sure what he's going for these days - new coach, crappy QB, etc...ignoring need for a minute, which side do you prefer?

I like Aaron Jones coming back but I would look for a better 2nd piece

Can you squeeze a 2nd out of it? I don't think Jones is too far away from DJ. Boyd is probably the proper way to close that gap, I'd just see if you can get a little bit back to sweeten it for you.

i need more than that.

just completed a startup 14 team SF with full idp and DJ went 1st round, jones went 4th round, boyd 9th round. just to give you an idea how these guys are valued among a group of dynasty die hards lol.

im a huge jones fan and also a pretty big boyd guy but i think i would need a first with those two or one of the two would need replaced with a higher end option.

14 team with IDP changes things though (I don’t play IDP so not sure how high they go in startups)...but curious where DJ went in the 1st?

All depends on how you think Johnson will do going forward. If you think Kingsbury will give a much-needed boost to this offense and use Johnson like a workhorse, then this is fairly cheap. If you think Jones will stay healthy and finish 2019 as a RB1 and Boyd keep producing WR2 numbers, then I'd pass and keep Jones + Boyd. Personally, I'd rather hold onto Jones and Boyd, but it's a fair deal.

I think the first half of our posts misunderstood that he would be receiving DJ for the price of Jones and Boyd. I don't think anyone posting about asking for a pick as well got that. Due to DJs current value, I believe it's a good trade for you, worth the risk. Jones is a good player, but ends up injured too often. Boyd is a favorite pick of mine, but he showed he wasn't ready yet to be the lead dog after AJ went down.

DJ by most peoples standard had a bad year.... he was RB10, something all the Aaron Jones beleivers want him to do next year

I have DJ. He was touchdown dependent this year. Does it get better. Fitz is back. Do they get any Off line help. Bosa #1, but I trade that spot and get off line help for running game and to protect Rosen. If this happens, then DJ's value even goes higher.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick

WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR
