Adopted an Orphan Good or Bad Moves

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Adopted an Orphan Good or Bad Moves

Postby Dynasty_Analyst » Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:03 pm

Just adopted an orphan yesterday and made a couple quick trades. Standard PPR league. Sent A. Brown/J. Williams for Lindsay/Golloday/1.04. Reflipped Lindsay/2.06 for 1.05. So in all I've acquired Golloday/1.04/1.05 and gave up Brown/J Williams/2.06. My reasoning is I don't care about J Williams or the 2.06 at all so basically just Brown. I think Brown is toward the end of his career, and I dont like Lindsays long term value with a new coaching staff either. I also have the 1.07 and i always trade my picks so I plan,on shipping off all of them pre draft time when rookie hype is at its peak. How did i do?

I like the deals/end result. AB is a player to move now or possibly next year at the latest or he is yours. I really like what you got back for all the pieces you moved. I think Golladay is a player to get now or there is no getting him and I'm not sold on Lindsay despite all my local Denver media.

Don't love the 1st deal but getting Golladay and 2 mid 1sts for AB is decent in a rebuild

I like em. There are bold and if you are trying to turn a dud around you need to take some risks (trading Lindsay, I don't believe it either and is a big trade candidate if I had him). If I owned Lindsay I would trade him for a first in a nano-second.
Team 1: 16 Team
QB's: Fields, Wentz,
RB: D. Harris, D. Montgomery, Kendre M.
WR: Chase, AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Waller, J. Woods, Dulich, Mayer

Team 2: 12 Team SF 1ppr, Start 10
QB: Mahomes, Burrow, Watson
RB: Hall, Walker, Javonte, Pacheco, K Mitchell, Dobbins
WR: Godwin, JSN, Pittman, Pickens, Toney, DP Jones, S Moore
TE: Andrews, Fant, Likely
(2024) 1.03, 2.03, 3.03
(2025) Top 3 1st, my 1st

Team 3 SF, TEP, Start 11 ppr
QB: AR, Watson, Young, Levis
RB: ETN, Walker, Pierce, Akers, Pacheco, Herbert, Warren, Kelley

Felt the same because I don't love Lindsay but I knew other people would so I'm happy I was able to get the 1.05 out of him. Team finished 5th but it probably over achieved. Had
RB1: Bell
RB2: Michel
RB3: Miller

WR1: Brown
WR2: Juju
WR3: Agholor

Nothing remotely startable after that so I needed some depth hopefully everyone gets a bit more excited about this rookie draft and these picks will be worth something. If I could pack off the 1.07 for a Mike Williams type and 1.05 for a Corey Davis type I'd be happy.
