Value of 1.01

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Value of 1.01

Postby Themissingrum » Tue Jan 22, 2019 3:41 am

Team 1 in my signature has the 1.01, 2.01, 2.16 and 3.01

The guy with the 1.05 is looking to trade up for the 1.01 and has offered that + another pick or a player.

His team:
QB: Cousins
RB: Cook, Lindsay, Dixon, Mcguire, Penny, Kerryon, Jones, Damien Williams, Ford, Hill
WR: Thomas, JuJu, Cooks, Kupp, Agholor, Funchess, Quinn, Taylor
TE: Kittle, OJ Howard, Jonnu Smith, Herndon
Picks: 1.05, 1.16, 2.02, 2.17, 3.11

Obviously he wants a QB with #1, but I also need one.
Is there anything you see worth the trade.

Depends on the add on, but I'd wait until after the combine and draft. He won't want it less and you'll have a better idea what the 1.05 will look like.
16 team league
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex (RB/WR/TE)
26 upman rosters - full point ppr

QB: Watson, Flacco Stidham
RB: Bijan, Gibbs, McLaughlin
WR: Olave, Addison, Flowers, Rice, Sutton, Downs, Mims, Tillman
TE: Kittle, Goedert, Chig, Woods

I don't think you'll get much from him for the swap. Also I think you should be targeting WR. If you could add to the 1.1 to get Cooks or Kupp I'd go that route easily

Wait for the combine and rookie hype to really get rolling before trading the 1.01

Agree with this completely. At least wait until the combine has passed. You might end up wanting to keep the pick.

Junk offer. Doesn't sound like he wants the 1.01 at all.

since everyone else missed it, why in the world are you considering a QB at 1.01??

I don't think I'dd pay the 1.01 plus for Kupp. He had a good start to the year, but he's coming off an ACL, is going to be 26, and we really don't know if Goff can support 3 WR's for an entire year at that level. I think Kupp is a good WR, but I'd hold the 1.01 until the draft rather than move it and another piece for him.

Normally I wouldn't, but QBs seem to be like gold dust in this league. Absolutely none available on the waivers, and people seem to value them very highly in trades.
As things stand, when Dak has his bye week, I won't be able to play anybody there.

That's fair. I'm not that high on Kupp either. Thought it was just me though. General advice still stands though. Don't get stuck into thinking you have to package down to the 1.05

That's crazy, I'm in a 16 man league and while there isn't many QB options in waivers usually during the season you can always find something.

Also someone in that league must be holding onto like 4 QB's because I just don't see how this is possible. But then again I only have one QB in Brees lmao

I’d simply hold the pick, it’s value will go up. I’m not sure a qb is worth the pick in the draft. Is there a team with two quality qbs on their roster you could make a move with?

It was the first thing I noticed, being a 1QB league. I agree that if you want a QB, I would target a team with multiple options using that 1.01. I also agree now is not the time to make those offers. The 1.01 will be worth more closer to your draft.

For sure. I like Cooks over 1.01, not Kupp. I agree that, though. Plus, 1.01 will grow in value. Haven't even had the combine or draft yet. If A guy like Jacobs blows up the combine and goes to the Chiefs with one of their second round picks, 1.01 is all of a sudden worth a ton.
