Has Mixons situation improved?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Has Mixons situation improved?

Postby The.Big.Spank » Mon Jan 21, 2019 8:03 am

It's like every other post has a trade involving Mixon in it. I did not watch him that closely this year. How do people feel about the coaching change in cinncy? It seems to me Mixons value has shot up some.

If Mixon gets 20+ carries a game, which he should, he will be a monster

he averaged 100 yards a game and had 9 scores.

hes got similar ypc to barkley, gurley, cmc, zeke. he was criminally underused (mostly in the pass game, half or less than half the targets of the guys i just mentioned). 7 games with under 15 carries and only 3 games all season with 5 or more catches. if he got used in the pass game more like cmc, kamara, barkley he would no doubt be a top 5 rb. as is though i feel he is a safe top 12 option.

i dont know a thing about the new coach or how he plans to use mixon.

Lewis being gone is an automatic improvement. However I think Mixon himself improved. His rookie year he was always trying to break the big run, and had too much Leveon style hesitation (which doesnt work behind a bad Oline). The latter half of last season and this season I saw improved vision and maturity in his running.
