OBJ/2.01/Miller/Foreman or Gordon/Engram/2020 1st

Postby psfox2010 » Sun Jan 20, 2019 11:00 pm

This is involving the team listed in the below signature. I just won the title and can't help myself, but to shake things up some. I've received the below offer.

Give: M. Gordon/Ekeler/Engram/2020 1st
Get: OBJ/L. Miller/Foreman/2019 2.01

Thoughts?
10 team, Full PPR, 27 man roster
2018 Champion, 2020 Champion
QB/2 RB/2 WR/1 TE/2 Flex/Defense/Kicker

QB: Allen, Watson, Fields
RB: Barkley, Taylor, Harris Chubb
WR: Ridley, Cooper, Thielen, M. Thomas, D. Smith, Boyd E. Moore, R. Moore, Reagor, St. Brown
TE: Kelce, Fant, Engram
Defense: Denver
Kicker: Gay

2022: None
2023: 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Based on your roster, give me the OBJ side. I'd rather start OBJ every week than Gordon. The rest are just depth pieces. And since your 2020 1st will probably be late, I don't think there's much difference in the picks.

I think that is a bad trade for you. You have a great team. Lets say you make that trade and next year Gurley or Zeke go down. They take your championship with them. (Miller and Foreman are fourth tier options). Like I said, you have a great team and high quality depth behind them. I see no real upgrade in your roster with that trade and it could possibly cost you a championship or two if injuries hit your rb position. It cost a lot of people a lot of championships every year. Right now, you dont have to worry about that. Make that trade and you will be able to start.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I got the 2020 pick from a team that's in a rebuild, so it's likely to be a top 4 pick.

I’d stay put. Especially if it’s a top 4 pick in 2020 you stay a contender and have a chance to add a solid piece in the future.

In that case, yes, it does make a difference. I basically saw this trade as OBJ for Gordon. But if that's a top 4 pick, then we are looking at OBJ and an early 2nd, in a weaker draft class, for Gordon and an early 1st in a stronger draft class.

Give me Gordon and the early 2020 1st in that case.

Engram + Ekeler >= Miller + Foreman
2.01 more or less = 2020 1st unless you think that 1st will be very early

You're essentially upgrading from Gordon to Beckham for free. Yes please.
