Are we in a sell high situation with Ebron?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

It's tough to say with Ebron. He was a "sell high" each week this season, and just continued to keep it up. Even with Doyle back he produced, minus that donut he scored later in the season. I think he's a solid TE matched up with Luck. But, I do tend to agree it's probably a good time to sell if you can. Especially if you have HH.
I have a feeling people are still skeptical though, so I'm not sure you'd actually be getting the value as a sell high should. You'd probably get about what he's worth. I've been looking at teams weak at TE to try and use him as an upgrade piece.

Sure, if you can get the right price for him. Like Keebs said, perception still may linger from his past failures, which could depress his value. All depends if you can find a guy in your league who likes/believes he'll continue on this trajectory.

As a native Detroit I despise everything about that lazy, no playbook learning, slack jaw, stone handed, fumbling machine. I correctly predicted that he would have a great year. Why, it's a contract year. He is a classic example of a guy who will play 10 years but have only two good ones. The year before his second contract (this year), and the year before his second contract.

If Detroit wasn't the stupidist sports organization in the history of the universe, Aaron Donald would have been that pick. Everybody, EVERYBODY in the city wanted Donald. We all knew Fairly was gone because we did not pick up his option. We knew Suh was gone because everything he did from the day he got signed said I am leaving first chance we get.

Who was the one a$$clown that thought otherwise? Martin Mayhew, aka, Millen Jr.

Ebron is not a football player, he is an athlete who plays football....and only when it suits him.

Spank is a little extreme, but I agree. I've never cared for Doyle even... Just another TE playing with Andrew Luck.

Ebron is still my TE9, but a lot of that has to do with Indy. Not sure if he stays or not. If he does, I think he's valuable

As long as he is tied to Luck, I think he will produce top 10 TE numbers. That being said, if someone offered me a 1st, done and done.

Easy sell high. His routes are blah, he still had issues with drops and I don't see the TD #'s staying high after they add to WR room. He's a big athlete who can make some plays but he doesn't understand the nuances of playing TE. No thanks if you ask me, I'd take any round 1 or something like rd 2 + Pettis/Washington/Gallup/Ross (if you're a believer)

Really depends on your situation whether you should buy or sell Ebron. Given the scarcity at the TE position, he certainly has value in almost any dynasty league, considering he's still young entering his age 26 season in 2019.

If you're in a rebuild situation you probably want to sell high while he's coming off of a strong season. On the flip side, if you're a competitive team and believe that you're a starting caliber TE away from making a run, then Ebron is a solid trade target.

The only part I'll disagree with here is that Ebron's TD totals will regress. While true, Luck absolutely loves targeting his TEs in the red zone. We've seen average to above-average talents excel before in great offenses with great QBs, and that's Ebron's exact situation right now. If anything, I'd say Ebron is a buy-low right now if you can get him for a late 1st or less, and you can sell high after another good season in 2019 because that's when his contract/team situation will be up in the air depending on whether IND or another team signs him to a long-term deal.

Sorry and thanks for pointing it out. Of all of Detroits dumb decisions under Millen/Mayhew, for some reason, that particular one really p.o'ed me. I loved Donald coming out, but did not think he would be this good.
