RB Trade Help - trade for Drake?

In the middle of a startup - currently in Rd 19
(12team | .5ppr | 1QB) - snake/slow draft
Start: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2 FLEX

I have a clear hole at RB which I’m very concerned about. (Team below)

I’ve sniffed around for Kerryon & Guice for my 1.02 rookie pick(+). No takers - can’t say I blame them lol

Should I look at trading for Drake with a package based around my (late) 2nd + Yeldon or Marvin?

Or should I hold and take an RB in the rookie draft to fill the hole?

QB: Prescott, Stafford
RB: Gordon, McKinnon, Duke Johnson, Yeldon, Grant
WR: OBJ, Thielen, DJ Moore, Boyd, Marvin Jones, Enunwa, Tyrell Williams, Trey Quinn, Cam Meredith
TE: Njoku, Ian Thomas

i would not advise trading for RBs right now....anything can happen in free agency and NFL draft...he couldn't even fend off Gore...worry about RB after your rookie draft (or during)

Drake isn't someone I'd be targeting if you're in need of a viable starting RB.

Patience goes a long way in dynasty. I will target a guy and wait until he hits a dry spell or an injury and then move in for the kill.

if there is any real possibility whatsoever that you can obtain kenyan drake for a late 2nd and tj yeldon you do that immediately and rejoice.

drake is a good back with very poor usage. his bug eyed coach is gone and one can only hope the new regime likes drake and will give him more work. as is though he was a very respectable rb2 most weeks. i just checked across my leagues in the 0.5 and full ppr leagues he was around rb18 on the final season totals and RB 25 in per game average (including guys who barely played like ajayi). in a non ppr he was less valuable going as rb21 end of season and rb31 in per game scoring.

he did that well while only getting 4 games over 10 carries and 0 over 15. he had a consistent receiving role though and saw 4 or more targets in 11 games.

both his rush attempts and reception totals have a ton of room for growth. He also has been very healthy, never missing a game in his 3 year career. any coach with half a brain will give him more work, he just hasnt gotten time with that kind of a coach yet.

That was my initial thought - Drake seems like a solid buy low.

He’s in that next tier. Like I said, I tried for Guice and Kerryon to no avail. Drake isn’t a guy I’d give up a 1st for but I’d gladly pay a low 2nd + for him
