For team 2 I'm rebuilding and have an offer for AJ Green for Nick Foles and a 2020 2nd? Pull the trigger? Desperate for a QB

Even in SF, that's awful. Rebuild and Foles don't belong in the same statement

The RPO system they run in Philly is perfect for his talents. Change some of the personnel and scheme and I don't think Foles has as much success, especially right away. He's decent, but not a game changer and may be getting a new contract based on his Super Bowl run last year. He kind of came apart after NO made adjustments in the second half last week. If I could buy low on him with the intent of reselling when he got a starting job, I'd be all over that. AJ Green is not buying low.

I think you are under-selling Green too. The idea that buying Foles runs contrary to rebuilding strikes me as odd though. He is 30. In modern QB terms that is a baby. Were he to have success, you might get 8 years out of him. So age can't be the issue. He had a record breaking year under Chip Kelly before struggling as that whole team fell apart. He was lights out for the Eagles in the post-season last year and played well enough this year for idiots to speculate about Wentz. In between times, he had a cup of coffee in Kansas City and sucked under well known QB whisperer Jeff Fisher.
He has a quick release. Is accurate. Doubting his big game temperament would be foolish. With a weak crop of rookies coming out, there's every chance a team decides to invest in him. The Eagles are/were notably well-coached, but putting 38 points on the Vikings and 41 points on the Patriots with Zach Ertz and otherwise inferior skill position talent isn't to be sniffed at. Nor is beating the Rams, the Texans and the Bears this year before pushing the Saints very close.
I think he's a SuperFlex steal personally.

Could you get a 1st instead of the 2nd? Might make it closer for me. AJG is very valuable to a competitor for maybe 1-2 more years.

Green >>> Foles, even in superflex.

I will be shocked if Foles leaves PHI in the offseason and finishes the 2019 season as a top-12 fantasy QB.

I just don't get this idea that Foles won't succeed elsewhere. There's nothing scheme specific to the way he plays beyond the fact that he is a pocket passer. He hasn't played with particularly high level skill position talent beyond Ertz. He hasn't had a bunch of reps until just before he's been thrown out there to play big games against good teams over the last two years. Philly weren't particularly ingenious in scheming guys wide open. They weren't giving him schematic freebies that he won't get elsewhere. They didn't have anything approaching a burner the last two years. What is it that people think explains Foles' success in Philly to make it largely contextual rather than a reflection of being very good at running through progressions, decisive with his throws and showing consistent accuracy?
I'm buying- just not at the price suggested.

By all the reports I see, there are at least four teams looking at Foles and close to zero chance Philly franchises him at near $25mil to let him sit the bench behind Wentz. He will sign somewhere else, likely as a Jaquar.

People are quick to dismiss him, but he's only 30 and has shown he can be an effective QB in the league. He has always been a decent pocket passer, but struggles with mobility. His career record is 26-18, not including his stellar playoff record. 12 of those losses came his rookie year and the dreadful year in STL.

Is he a top 15QB? No. But in SF, where the team that just won our league started Keenum...i think he obviously has some value, just not enough to get AJG alone.
