32 Team League Trade Advice

Postby Amishbeard » Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:41 am

For Team 2 in sig.

Its hard for me to gauge trades in a 32 team league as this is my first and haven't been in it quite a year yet. Especially since you start a full IDP lineup.

I have some good picks this year and tried to that into a proven player to go with Trib and Moore.
I offered:
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 29
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 3
2019 Draft Pick, Round 2 Pick 14
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 7
2019 Draft Pick, Round 2 Pick 31
For his :
Mixon, Joe RB - CIN
Jones, Zay WR - BUF
2020 Draft Pick, Round 2 (New York Jets)
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 20

He countered with:
2019 Draft Pick, Round 2 Pick 14
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 7
2019 Draft Pick, Round 2 Pick 31
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 3
For his:
Jones, Zay WR - BUF
Penny, Rashaad RB - SEA
2020 Draft Pick, Round 3 (New York Jets)

What do you guys think of either offer? I just would rather take a chance of the 1-3 & 1-7 player then take a chance on Penny and his situation.

So hard to gauge when you add in the full IDP. Example Roquann Smith was the 1-13 last year and I took DJ Moore with 1-10
Team 1:
16 team startup
1 qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 te 1 flex 1 dst 1k
Qb: Hurts, Pickett
Rb: Taylor, Pollard, Henry, Herbert, K. Ingram, Moss, Kelley
Wr: AJ Brown, Tyreek, Pickens, Bateman, Robinson
TE: Kelce, J. Woods, L. Thomas
D: MIA, SEA, MIN
K: Koo
2024 1.02 & 2.15

Finished
2019: 1st
2020: 1st
2021: 4th
2022: 2nd
2023: 2nd

Your original offer wasn't nearly enough for Mixon and he countered with a bad offer as well. Penny is worth somewhere around that 3rd or 7th pick. Zay Jones is not worth a 1st and some later picks

Your offer is light but his is horrid, looking at your lets call the 2020 2nd to rd pick 31 and the rd 1 pick 20 to rd 1 pick 29 and rd 2 pick 29 washes
that leaves us pick 3 and 7 v zay jones and mixon, I'd be taking the mixon side every time there
Given his is god awful, lets highball zay and the third as being worth both seconds for arguments sake that still leaves penny for pick 3 and 7 which is less than his value last year before he got beat to the starting job

Thanks for the insight. I've been reading the other forums thread here, but its kind of hard to relate to a 32 team league.

I kinda have been viewing first round picks as 1st or 2nd depending on if they are early or late. 2nd= 3 or 4. and Third round is almost exclusively IDP and fliers.

What do you think I could add to make the Mixon trade fair?

I ended up trading :
Seals-Jones, Ricky TE - ARI
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 29
2019 Draft Pick, Round 2 Pick 14
2021 Draft Pick, Round 1 (Chicago Bears)
2019 Draft Pick, Round 1 Pick 7
For:
Bradham, Nigel LB - PHI
McKinnon, Jerick RB - SF
Rudolph, Kyle TE - MIN
Cooks, Brandin WR - LAR

And I'll just keep my 1-3 and draft best RB available. I think in a 32 team league I can make the playoffs now.

Never played in a 32-team league before, but this seems like a massive win for you...basically 1.07 + 2021 "1st" (which could be as late as a 3rd in normal leagues) for Cooks + McKinnon + Rudolph...

i will just say that i wish i could help more...
1. i have not played in a 32 league
B. it seems that you start way more IDP than OP and i know nothing about IDP players...

good luck, it sounds challenging
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

Yeah I feel a lot better about next season. I just hope there's RB1 at pick 3.

But in a 32 team league the 32nd best RB is an RB1 :(
