This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Postby mzkp54 » Thu Jan 17, 2019 8:33 am

Was offered Golladay for my '20 1st and 2nd and Ian Thomas. Would you pay that for Kenny G?

Not sure which team or where that pick will be, but this is an easy accept. The 2nd and Thomas (solid stash) aren't significant, so basically Golladay for random/mid-2020 1st is robbery.

I don't think Golladay is worth more than the 1.01 (especially in 2020), so if the picks is early, I'd rather keep that.

^^^^ Agreed
If we were talking 2019 1st and 2nd then yes, instant accept as the others have said. But, since we're talking 2020 1st and 2nd its a little more risky. Lots of talent in those 1st two rounds of 2020.

*Edit* I kinda like the other side better. As a Golladay owner I believe I would sell him for a early-mid 2020 1st and 2nd.

Golladay was WR19 for season and WR14 over last 8 weeks. Why wouldn't you take that production now rather than wait and hope the pick is super early. And even if the pick is super early, it still carries higher risk than Golladay, who has already proven he can produce.

He was WR26 if you rank them by average. Regardless of that, I've just never been as high on him as most. I think people are still projecting him to be a top 5-10 WR, and I just don't see that. He can be a good WR2 at some point, but not the stud that people make him out to be. If we're comparing him to the 1.01, I think the upside of whoever that becomes this summer is much higher.

Judging by the Wr's listed on his two rosters he seems pretty set. Rb's not so much. If I was him I'd be thinking hard about the Rbs in that 2020 class. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Golladay fan/owner and think its wise to have him on your roster. But I think he could counter and aquire him at a lower price. I got lucky... Very Lucky... Sold high on Brieda + 2019 2.03 and Golladay was all mine.

It would be for team 1. I do like my WR, but this would make them younger, and we can start 5 so that would be a nice core to build around.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone
