What moves for defending champion team that got some "help" to win it all?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What moves for defending champion team that got some "help" to win it all?

Postby hockeyBjj » Wed Jan 16, 2019 10:15 am

Team 1 in sig. I was definitely not the favorite going into this season, or really at any point of the season. My divisional rival getting hit by the Hunt Punt and James White/Yeldon winning me games I should have lost mid season got me a 1st round bye (that I would have lost to 3 out of the 4 teams playing in week 14) and then me blowing all my faab on D Williams when Ware went down all helped me win a Ship with a team that honestly should have gotten 3rd or 4th place. This league is top heavy with 10 teams and 4 of them very weak rebuilders

ppr, 6 pt qb tds, start 1qb, 3rb, 3wr, 1 te, D, K ((a te2 can flex with rb3 or wr3))
QB- Russell Wilson, Andy Dalton, Mullens (will drop mullens soon. Needed emergency QB with Dalton hurt)
RB- Barkley, D Cook, D Williams, J White, Ingram, Penny, Ajayi, T Coleman, Yeldon, L Murray, Riddick, Smallwood,
WR- OBJ, Evans, Juju, Boyd, Landry, G Tate, T Gabriel, junk flyers
TE- Kittle, Rudolph, McDonald
K- Lutz
D- Vikings, Patriots, Tennessee (D scoring is enhanced. Literally all teams owned)

The obvious answer here is to bundle my large assortment of low end rb2s/rb3s for a weekly starter back. But it's been literally impossible in this league to get an rb in the top 20. Should I see if two of Boyd, Landry, Tate could get me a WR upgrade?? If so, what range of WR should I look at? Or stick with having enough depth as I won without OBJ or Boyd in my starting lineup week 16.

I only have the 2.6 and two 3rds for picks in 2019. Can't even remember what I moved my 2019 1st for, think it was last year
Team 1- 10 team ppr, 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flx, 1D, 1K
2022: 1-8
Finishes: 6th, 6th, 1st, 5th, 6th, 9th

TE: Hockenson, F Monroe, Juwan, Musgrave
D/K: Patriots, Vikings, Saints, Dicker

picks-
2024- 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,4,5,5
2025 1,1,1,2,3,4,5

team 2- 12 team SF, .5PPR, .5TE boost, 1QB, 1SF, 2 RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex
2022: 8-1
Finishes: 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd :wall:
QB: Ljax, GenoD Jones, Minshew, Dobbs

I would try and package a combo of Ingram, White, Ajayi, Coleman, D. Williams and Boyd for a young RB with upside or even a pick or two. I don't think that combo will fetch anything big/established but who knows, it's worth a shot if you have a couple players in mind. I'm not very high on Williams or Coleman personally, but I think they will be hot names this dynasty off-season. Might be a good change to sell based on hype.

Call me crazy but I would sit tight and see what happens with Williams and Coleman.

If Williams gets the gig in KC he will be an RB1 or high end RB2. If Coleman gets signed as a starter I would send offers of him and one of the receivers you mentioned to try to get an upgrade, heck if a guy in your league likes Coleman they might even give you an RB2 straight up. (I own Coleman too and that is my plan)
Dynasty League (25 man rosters + 2 IR, non-PPR scoring. QB/3RB/3WR/2TE/K/DB/LB/DL no flex)

QB (1): Herbert, Lawrence, Darnold
RB (3): N. Chubb, D. Henry, J. Taylor, JK Dobbins, Pollard, Singletary, L. Murray
WR (3): D. Hopkins, D. Adams, M. Evans, D.J. Moore, DJ Chark, B. Aiyuk, J. Smith-Schuster, R Bateman, E. Moore
TE (2): I. Smith Jr, H. Henry, Schultz, Tremble

K (1): M. Crosby

DB (1): J. Adams
LB (1): F. Warner
DL (1): D. Lawrence

Yes, but depending on where Ingram goes, will kinda dictate his value. I would also try to move Tate for some younger talent.
