Conner/Mid First for AB
Conner/Mid First for AB
Been offered Conner and mid 2019 First for Antonio Brown. I'm deep at WR (OBJ, Julio, Hill, Kupp, Fuller, Godwin) so I'm leaning toward moving Brown. Wondering if this is enough.

Re: Conner/Mid First for AB
Based on your team. No. You would be switching Brown for Conner. I'd rather have Brown myself. I think you could put any RB into the Steelers and have them be successful. I think Conner is good, but I'm probably lower on him than others.
I'd want something better than a mid 1st added onto the Conner side. I'd want either an early 1st, or maybe a 2020 1st added, especially if he is the one making the offer for Brown. He's not going to give you his best offer right off the bat, so if you want to do the trade, then at least try and get more added onto the deal.

That seems pretty light to me. I feel the same way about Conner and the Pittsburgh backfield. I would probably want another first added onto it too.

I think you can get more for Brown. If another 1st and young upside guy was added to the mix, I think it's a solid deal

Re: Conner/Mid First for AB
You can feel that way but the truth is he is Pitts RB and I don't see that changing anytime soon..The.Big.Spank wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 8:27 am That seems pretty light to me. I feel the same way about Conner and the Pittsburgh backfield. I would probably want another first added onto it too.
AB is probably done in Pitt. who knows what QB he ends up with and what offence , Fact is Conner is a top 5 RB on Pitt and is real young , AB is old and only getting older..
That said I think ABs value is a little higher than Conner and the pick , But I would be looking to trade him ASAP..
Maybe try Conner , mid 1st , and a 2020 1st , If he don't take it try a 2019 2nd.
Edit- Looks like he offered you that it means he is probably willing to pay more , So I don't see the harm in counting him.

Re: Conner/Mid First for AB
Do you realistically think AB will get you a young RB1, 2 firsts, plus an additional young upside guy?Gator Sens wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 1:39 pm I think you can get more for Brown. If another 1st and young upside guy was added to the mix, I think it's a solid deal
I view Conner as an RB1 the next 2 seasons while he is on his cheap rookie deal in Pitt. After that, who knows. But while he is the man in Pitt, he will produce just as well, if not better than Nick Chubb. I bet if that offer were Nick Chubb plus a mid first for AB everyone would be yelling "smash accept".
He offered you, so counter asking for a 2020 first as well, with maybe you throwing in a 2019 2nd or something. I do think that is a fair offer and fair for your team. I would also immediately go and make a deal for Jaylen Samuels as insurance. The Steelers run game will produce RB1 numbers no matter who is given the ball.
Re: Conner/Mid First for AB
Conner is worth more than AB at this point. You're getting a free 1st round pick

Re: Conner/Mid First for AB
I think this is close for you, but agree with the other replies. It does seem a bit light, especially with the lack of excitement in this 2019 class... I would definitely look to acquire Conner to back up your starting RBs though. After those two it looks like you hit a bit of a talent cliff.
